About Mischa Barton


Mischa Barton, born on January 24, 1986 in London, England, moved to the United States at the age of four. By nine, she'd taken on roles in a number of films and television shows. When Fox premiered the television series, The O.C., Mischa's career really took flight. Her role as Marissa Cooper, a compassionate, yet troubled teen, turned Mischa Barton into a household name. The show's immediate success became a landmark in television.

Mischa, while most commonly thought of as an actress, is also a talented designer with her own bag and headband collections, as well as an active philanthropist. Her growing list of accomplishments doesn't seem to be diminishing anytime soon.

Mischa devotes a huge portion of her time to various charitable ventures, such as Climate Star and Save the Children. She also serves as an Entertainment Industry Foundation Ambassador, teaming with QVC to raise awareness and money for women's cancer research. Mischa realized the importance of being involved for change at a very early age, learning from the example set by her parents.

While Mischa has thrown herself into a variety of projects and endeavors, her passion for acting has not wavered.
