Walking my dog, Alfie, through the spring grass and on the beach...He loves walkies and it's so fun having a creature that is so happy to be around you all the time!

I reckon one of the best things about spring is the smell! That sounds weird, but I'm sure the air smells better in Spring... it's all fresh and nice, especially in the evenings when it's still light out. Also, I always love taking my dog for a walk when I can but it's a great change to be able to do it without my shoes getting covered in mud and being freezing cold! Not having to wash and dry long dog fur is an added bonus too... However, I think I tend to get a bit over-excited about the spring as whenever it looks even mildly sunny out I'm convinced it's the start of summer, but obviously in England it's NEVER the start of summer! One activity that seems to take up most of spring is the chaos that comes with trying to decide which festivals to go to this year and then trying to get tickets as quickly as humanly possible!

new season make me feel good but most,it scares me a little bit...cause time goes by and you have to grow up really fast,time is too fast for me!
so when it come this season,that is also the season of my birthday,I feel that around is all growing and new flowers or birds are borning but I feel like I'm dying a little every birthday...don't get me wrong,I'm not depress or anything but I do understand in this period how life is fast and how we have to live it at her best and have fun...

Hi Mischa! This is my first comment here and I just have to say that I was very happy when I found out your blog. I got very inspiering to read all about Save the children, believe you´re doing a great job! Very well.. Back to spring :) I just love the first day when the sun is shining and you can go out without a jacket. Here, in Sweden, it gets very cold in the winter so just to take off the jacket and put on a little less clothes is great. The sun is also important, to get more sun and just enjoy it, and the flowers, birds, people, everything. It seems like the whole contry wakes up in the spring. Its wonderfoul. Since I live in Sweden I probably can't win the pictures.

But this spring I'm most excited to lay in the grass, watching the skye and pet my rabbit. Sweden's really beautiful in the spring:)

I love springtime, especially being in Paris where you can see all the trees and gardens in full bloom.
It is also the time when the birds leave their nests. It is really a wonderful season with the awakening of the whole nature, it lifts up the spirits.
In spring I love to have a walk in Paris, In the Gardens, go to the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre and take a lot of photo of the city with the light effects of the sun.

And I noticed that in my neighbourhood people dress more colourful when the Spring comes, Spring has a power of life I think, everybody is more happy when the spring comes.

ohh spring this is one of my favourite seasons.I realy love to wake up and see the new green grass and hear the song of the birds.I love to ride a bicycle and now when is sunny i love to go up to the mountin and ride a board :)it is amazing and the long walks in the park is realy great and i just love the :)

I live im Winnipeg, Manitoba. We have eight months of freezing winters. We can go up to as low as -52. BUt our springs, and summers here are beuatiful. All the snow is melting there is puddles everywhere, and just the smell is amazing, and one of my favorite smells. Ah can't wait, only one more month of this weather, and then SPRING!

OH and can i please win the photos. It would be the best.

Hey Mischa, every year I look forward to spring for a reason close to my heart. When I was little, my Poppa used to plant a vegetable garden every spring for mother's day. He passed away, and in his memory, every year on Mother's Day I plant a vegetable garden. Its on the side of my house, and have stones that read in his memory, that I have placed inside the garden. He would pick the vegetables every year and place the tomatos on his windowsill, and I follow in his footsteps every year by doing the same. It may sound kind of lame, but its my way of celebrating the re-birth and life of spring- his life.

What is there not to look forward to in the spring. Winter kills almost everything and spring brings it back to life. The one thing i look forward to in the spring is stripping off all the layers of clothing i have to wear and putting on a cute skirt or dress and setting up a picnic. Peanut butter and jam sandwiches are AWESOME! Also going to the park with your friends and acting like big kids on the playground while having a photo shoot is so much fun... can't wait for spring :)

for me spring is a magical season because the first thing you hear in the morning are the birds that sing. Then you go out into this clean and fresh air where everything around you starts to live and grow and you can see the beautiful colours everywhere: green, red, yellow, purple... And when it starts to rain a little bit you can smell like the whole freshness and power and this is the best smell ever because it is special and I don't know anything that can be compared with it. But the best thing about spring is that because I live at a small town directly to the sea I can go to the beach in the evening and watch the amazing sunset with a mild breeze. So this season is for all your senses.

And yesterday I started longing to take out my bike , the first time of the year , it's always so fun =] . I also want to go jogging , when it's actually warm and sunny outside . I just miss the sun ! and to walk around in shorts , dresses and skirts . I also wear a lot of black and dark colours in the winter , looking forward to buy clothes in bright colours =D hahaha

And when the sun is shining I can go outside and do my homework or only chilling in the sun *melt away* ... Oh I'm so excited!!! The sad and cold season is over! Oh Spring!

Every Spring I love to take my two kittens for a walk in the park and watch the boats sail on the pond. I try to find the perfect tree stump to write poetry on and use that for the year. Here the poem I wrote last Spring:

Out of the dozen of these dumb boring geese,
there’s one, for fun,
flying low back and forth
just to perfect his water landing.

I think that outta all these gooses,

I like to take long drives in my station wagon to estate sales upstate and find cool gems and crystals. Spring antiquing is AWESOME. Plus I do some of my best blogging in the Spring, so that's cool.

Wow, some amazing comments already; there is no way I'm going to top those! Am I immediately ineligible because Spring is my third favourite month? I hope not....

Late Autumn into Winter is my favourite season. The heat of summer has ended, leaving fresh cool breezes; the leaves of the trees are now bright red, dazzling with beauty; snow falls leaving picturesque landscapes beyond the horizon, up close the snow has settled; people are playing in the snow, their worries forgotten by the wonder of winter; the living room fire burns gently, making the natural cosiness of winter even cosier.

Yes I admit most of Winter is wet and dark, but you can't put a price on the red skies as the Sun sets behind the clouds, or the full moon illuminating the night.

Also the global warming (although it has slowed down almost to a reversal) of the climate has made late Spring and Summer unbearable in the heat, making everything seem even more laborious and tiring. On the other hand I cannot deny the beauty of Spring, with the flowers blooming and birds singing, it's just I love the relief of Autumn from Summer.

Also, I LOL at the second picture. Great idea for a competition, I'm sure everyone who wins will be eternally grateful. Good luck to everyone! To the people who say they won't win as they are outside of the USA, I doubt that is true as it isn't written anywhere that the competition is specific to the US; and Mischa does live in France, so don't hold back.

Spring!

I love it when you feel the first sunshine on your back and it warms you. It remembers me that there is more than only rain and cold wind (I'm from the Netherlands).
And like you said, you see everything begins to bloom what gives me a wonderful feeling.

This Spring I go to Mallorca (Spain) for 3 weeks with a friend. Hanging around and watching the O.C. Just relaxing. We have a apartment on the beach! So that's what I'm most excited about.

Spring is such a great time of year. A time for new beginnings and a time to see things grow. Easter is always something to look forward to. I always love watching the Ten Commandments on tv & watching my Jesus of Nazareth dvds. Life can get SO complicated sometimes… But when you take some time out to see just how big and how great God is and how much he truly loves us and has done for us, it puts everything into perspective and all of life’s problems look a lot smaller. It’s not about eggs, or rabbits or candy, even though those things are nice. The Easter season is about being grateful and remembering the sacrifice that was made once for all of us to be forgiven.. We all make mistakes, no one is perfect, we’re all sinners and all need forgiveness. But thanks to our Lord Jesus, we have access to God our father. I mean how awesome is it to know that thanks to him taking are place & shedding his precious blood for us, we will appear before God spotless and clean. With every sin forgotten, every screw up and mistake forgiven! If that’s not something to celebrate I don’t know what is! His word promises-
“He will have compassion on us; He will tread our iniquities under foot. Yes, God will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.” Micah 7:19
"I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins anymore.” Isaiah 43:25
I think that’s pretty cool, don’t you? That’s why spring is important to me.

There's this tree in my garden, and when you eat breakfast at the table you can see it right in front of you.
I love watching it because that tree shows the first sign of spring, you can see the flowers growing!
And ofcourse the days get langer, the smell changes in the air and you can feel yourself getting happier and looser :)

The leaves. To me, the color change represents so many things - metamorphosis, life and growth which in turn represent pursuit, strength and perseverance. Spring pushes/inspires me to accomplish my goals.

Spring love! Everyone seems to get together once the weather starts getting warmer. Just look at anyone during the spring, and they will likely have a giddy smile, be daydreaming and be blushing all the time.

I love your reason for loving Spring, and for me, I love Spring for many reasons.

1) In Vancouver, it's the mixing season! I love how it's hot enough to wear summer clothes and then the next day, it's all raining cats and dogs - I love the rain and the warmness so Spring brings a match together!

2) I love the blossoming flowers and trees... so pretty! I love photography, so it's amazing.

3) School's slack! With Spring here, it means school is slowing down and getting ready for summer!

4) FRIENDS! Pretty self explanatory :)

5) Last, reason, I love Spring because it allows me to do photography too. i love photography, and I love taking streets and nature photography is Spring brings the both of them together :D

I live in Chicago, so as you know it gets really cold! Spring is definitely appreciated here in the Windy City because Chicago people really get it handed to them all winter long.

The things that I will be looking forward to Spring the most are in no particular order

1) Not wearing UGGS or boots anymore (I'm sick of boots until next year!!!)

2) Being able to wear dress!

3) Not layering up and hats, scarves, gloves etc.. and not have to deal with losing hats, gloves, scarves etc.

4) Being able to be outside for once.

5) A color returning to the grass, leaves going on trees again

6) Being able to wear flats!

7) Being able to run & exercise outside

8) Wearing a spring jacket

9) No tights needed!

10) Being able to walk more than a block outside and actually enjoy it

I'm really looking forward to Spring!! Happy Spring to you Mischa!

I love when Spring is here because everybody is generally in better moods. Its not too hot, its not too cold. People are more pleasant out in public when you talk to them. I think it just gets everybody in the mood to get outside and do things and be nicer to everyone. It may wear off quick when we get used to it, but its something that we shouldn't take for granted and enjoy it while we can.

Falling in love again. Letting the giddiness of it take over me and fall aimlessly into someone's heart.

Spring..

Time for some spring cleaning; of body mind and soul.
Basically:
Get to the gym,
Enroll in Uni (mature student)
and
Clear my head in the fresh Scottish Air and Sunshine :D

I just wander weird places and take photographs for different magazines and websites. Spring is a time for me to slow down and smell the roses. I also spend my spring nights in bed watching O.C. reruns, ha. No lie.

As long as the Spring begins, my life will turn. A new country, new position, new job, new challenges, new friends... I am moving to Montevideo.
It's the best time to do that. And surely I will always remember the flower smell of my news decisions in the Winter time.
Polaroids pictures bring the best and the truest of everything in front the lens. Your pics prove that.

Flowers are nice Mischa. The sight of them blowing in a gentle breeze carrying a restful odor is endearing. For me spring is full of great things. Peoples mood's seem to improve everywhere you go. It means I can get out my summer clothes and live my true me. Cargo shorts and sandals!!Woo Hoo!! I really amp up mountain biking, jogging, rock climbing etc... It's a time to get out and enjoy life at it's fullest. Take time from your busy life to enjoy life. I know I will!! Congrats on your success! Latr

I cannot wait until it's warm enough to go to the park and drink blue slurpees with my friends. Cold weather is really fun for about a week, but I'm so ready to trade in my peacoat for my American Apparel hoodie.

Living in Canada, its a tad chilly, so when the warmth of Spring comes, it is welcomed with open arms!
The mild weather motivates me to be even more active. The Spring activity I look forward to the most is "Walking for The Cure" to raise money for breast cancer research and treatment facilities. My ninety-two year old Gramma is a recent breast cancer survivor and she is stronger than ever, golfing all the time. She is my total inspiration and I walk for her with my Mom.

The best part of spring is waking up from hibernation... oh wait, am I the only one who does this?

I am a writer and musician, a wandering bohemian of sorts that lives just south of Boston. I find when it's warm enough around here I just throw an acoustic guitar and a notebook in the back of my car and just sleep in the driver's seat, sunroof open, wherever I may be. But my favorite part is being able to write down at the jetty of Plymouth harbor, down to the very last rock about a quarter mile out from shore. Right there you can turn your back to the shoreline and feel like you live out on the ocean, where nothing else can follow. And if you time it just right you can see the sun make a mirror of the sea in shades of soft purple and brilliant white. And if you have the patience you can sit back on that flat rock on the pathway that thrusts out into the ocean and watch every single star come out. There's something in that fragment of a day, always gone oh so quickly where you can't help but feel that there's no place that isn't beautiful, and all the good in the world is clear as day. That's the beauty of spring.

My favorite thing would have to be the fact that I can walk outside and enjoy the sunshine! I love being able to just feel the warmth and sun on my skin! The trees bludding is also a favorite! It makes me know that summer is almost here!

I like Spring Because It's A Beautiful part of the year. It's like all the hard work you have done through the year and now it's time to just sit back and relax and enjoy the sun and cool air in California. Let loose and be free. When I think of Spring, I think of a few things...Spring Break, NCAA March Madness, Spring Training, playoffs, and Shamrock Shakes at McDonald's!

There's nothing better than the "One and Done" tourney format for Men's College Basketball. If I'm not going to the games (I'm flying across country to go to North Carolina, this year.), the best place to watch the games is Las Vegas for the first and second rounds. All day and all night of sheer mayhem!

This is the best time of the year for sports. Not only is there March Madness, but MLB has Spring Training. Moreover, NBA and NHL hold their playoffs during this time.

In Spring, I look forward to the greens and blues of the California scenary! The taste of hotdogs and beer at a baseball game once again after work. I anticipate the chance to wear t-shirts and shorts in warm weather.. especially, at picnics in the park and wine-tasting in Napa. It begins a season of road trips and travel to my favorite places. Spring represents a season of "out with the old and in with the new!".

I actually just moved to the awesome city of Chicago at the beginning of the year. I grew up in Maryland near Washington, D.C., and graduated from college a couple years ago... and it's actually my first time living in a big city. The winter is harsher here than back home, so I am definitely looking forward to spring coming!

I can't wait to walk around the city without having to be bundled up in layers and layers of clothing. The snow and chilly winds are rough, but I seem to manage. I want to do more things in the city, but my excuse has always been: "It's just too cold to go out!"

I'm eager to see the sun brightening the day with its warm rays. I want to see how much more lively everything gets, the people bursting with more energy and life. I'm eager to experience what else the city has to offer when the outdoors become more inviting, the snow melted and the air a bit more toasty. Being by the lake provides a beautiful water view; I can only expect it to be spectacular once this chilly weather is over.

This year has been a great adventure so far. I haven't regretted my decision to leave home. Every moment is tinged with a subtle feeling of possibilities. I feel like there are new prospects for memories and experiences waiting to open up once spring is upon the city. I can't wait.

I hope spring brings you just as many opportunities!

Im going to rant here we go! I love spring because if you step outside you smell the fresh air and you inhale that and it cleans you and you feel so fresh. Its warm enough to wear shorts, and a hoodie and you feel like staying outside because its so warm and inviting!I like to hang out with friends, ride bikes take long walks. Everything you can imagine I will do! I like staying outside and reading a long book sitting listening to the leaves and the cars go by. Hearing my feet hit the ground, and my breath pacing! haha Im weird... But i love everything about spring. I look forward to it everyday. My favourite thing about Spring is the sunshine which effects my mood and the vegetation that starts coming back after the snow melts, and the lovely fresh Spring smell in the air.

For me, spring brings inspiration in everything I do. The sun emerges from it's slumber, and the earth starts to be reborn - it's an amazing sight to see. I agree that you find yourself to be a new person when spring comes around.

I write my best poetry in the spring time. I don't know why, I just do. Maybe it's the wildflowers or the extra sun getting to my head.

I don't know about you Mischa, but spring gives me another beginning to my life. A fresh start to a new season in a long year. It gives me a chance to get past all the familiarites winter brought, and start new. It brings out new sounds, smells, sights, and songs. Spring makes the regular, unique. For some reason simple warmth and green tones can make me feel like a different person as you said. This winter has been a rough one and i don't want to forget it, but i want to move on. Spring reminds me specially my childhood and my grandma, who used to live in the country. It reminds me we together cooking and taking flowers to put on my hair, and whenshe starts teaching me how to make my clothes. My grandma made me all i am today, so i guess spring reminds me what i am made of. The warm weather and the sweet light in the mornings reminds me the reason why i keep on fighting in this life, all i want to be and all i wish for. Spring brings peace... and music.

Well, since I'm from Brazil, now I'm standing the greatest heat we've ever had since 1947. Can you imagine how is that? Anyway, for me spring is the best season too, not only because of the amazing colors, or flowers, but mostly because there's a different mood, the wind helps it, and at least here, in Sao Paolo, during spring we have the best movie and music festivals and I'm a huge fan of this. I hope that spring, wherever you are, brings you some inspiring and entertaining moments.

Sunny days where you can shed some layers. Days that still have a chill in the air so I can wear "that" jacket I got on sale. Being able to sit outside and have my coffee with my friends. The tree's on my drab block having leaves again, so I cant see through my neighbors window *shudders* New seasons bringing new lines from my favorite designers. And last but not least, everyone coming out of hibernation to hit the social network again. Lacking in poetry, or beautifully crafted images of spring? Definitely! Shallow? Maybe, but I'm being honest. I look forward to seeing what you will be doing with your spring.

i can't wait to sleep with my windows open this spring! falling asleep to the crickets chirping and the sweet, warm smell of green grass and new flowers is so refreshing after a long cold winter. and waking up to the bright sun and birds singing is the best too :) it's like the whole world comes back to life, including myself. spring makes me really happy!

I absolutely love the first day I get to put on sandals. My feet fell free again! I love the day when you walk into a random shoe store and see the pair that seems to put all of your problems on hold for a split second as you slip them on. You think to yourself, these are the ones I'm going to be wearing while I sit in the grass and soak in the sun, the ones that make a major statement while vacationing in Cabo....

I love being able to walk outside and feel the sun on my shoulders. The way the warmth my shoulders perfectly is such a distinct yet familiar feeling. It makes me feel alive. I love to see people outside having a good time, wether it be bar-b-queuing or playing with their kids. It seems like time just stands still and everyone is living in the moment instead of just living and going through the motions.

That is why I love spring....

I think my favourite thing about spring is selecting a nice crisp fresh polo shirt, meeting a few friends few a leisurely drink in the park and then heading back to dust off series 1 of the o.c, which you watch whilst taking it in turns to prep the bbq outside.

Though I love the fall and winter, I am looking forward to the spring season! The thing I look forward to the most is more of a feeling than a thing. It's that feeling when I first open the door to my residence hall at GW in Washington, DC in the morning. The sun is shining, the sky is bright blue with white puffy clouds, the streets are busy with cars, people are walking everywhere, I have my shorts and polo on, and the ipod is playing a great song. I feel like I can take on the world and am ready for anything and everything. It's like nothing can bring me down and I can't help but smile.

Okay so this year's spring has me looking forward to many more things than previous years because of the fact that I am a high school senior this year! I live in a really rainy part of Washington so naturally I look forward to Spring any year but this year is sooo much different! This time around I have prom, my last high school dance EVER, to look forward to. I get to take my senior pictures, have a graduation party and of course GRADUATION itself! As if that isn't enough to look forward to I'm going on a Senior trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico 3 days after graduating! Plus finally being out of high school will be awesome...So as you can probably tell this is an EXTREMELY exciting part of my life and I don't think I've ever been looking forward to so much in my life!:]

I live in Southern California, and although some beg to differ that there are not seasons here, I can definitely tell the difference between all four. My favorite season is spring because I still have the chance to wear some of my favorite coats but I also get to look forward to wearing shorts and tanktops. It's the best of both worlds! and when spring comes around, things just start to get brighter and less gloomier like some of the past winter days. I also love the feeling of school about to end. The last couple months of school are always fun because everyone is hyped. I'm graduating this year so I'm excited for all the fun things spring is about to bring me!

Also the fashion in spring is incredible, the styles change all the time and you can wear the nicest pants,shorts,dresses and even the sandals are the nicest!

Spring tops my seasons!

I love spring because you can roll down your windows, blare your favorite music and won't need to turn on your A/C. The wind is a natural breeze so it feels perfect outside.

Every once in a while, in the months of rain soaked overcoats and overworked space heaters, I come across a song that takes me aback. This song is not new to me; it's merely one of in a collection of thousands bur upon that moment of discovery, that song may hold more significance than all other of the aforementioned songs combined. Why? Because in just three minutes it accomplishes what it takes all of March, April, and May to do. This song will, for a mere ninety seconds, evoke my strongest of passions: my love for Spring.

This momentary, seemingly out of body experience awakens all five senses where sunscreen and bug spray are the most heavenly of scents, where the feel of sunburned skin in a hot shower is coveted, where reading paperback novels through orange tinted sunglasses is preferable, where lawnmowers and ice cream trucks are welcome to awake you from outside naps, and where the taste of generic soda pop, potato chips, burnt hot dogs and dried out buns are a delicacy. One single song can bring back that feel of cold grocery store tiles on bare feet, scalding hot seatbelt buckles on naked bellies, and the itch of dry grass on sweaty backs.

My passion is in the quiet car rides home where the sound of the road and the hum of a radio are at a perfect equilibrium. It’s in the feeling of cold lake water engulfing your body in the middle of night. It’s in the smell of fireworks and cut grass and sidewalks soaked from thundershowers. It’s in the taste of butter soaked corn on the cob and the feel of it dripping down your chin. It’s in the emergence of freckles on cheeks and noses. My passion is laying on dirty hardwood floors on days when it’s too hot to move. It’s in months where the longing for love is overbearing, but the need for independence is undeniable.

Well I live in Australia, so it's almost autumn, but Spring is my favourite month!
Here's why:
- Flowers start growing on plants again!
- My birthday is at the end of Spring, so that's nice to look forward to
- Going to the beach is great, because it's never too hot that the beach is packed, but the weather is perfect, with low wind, etc.
- Christmas is right around the corner (Australia, again)
- Melbourne has some really nice Spring activities, the horse racing, music festivals, fashion festivals
- Everything good happens in Spring! (except bees, and magpies, which have a tendancy to swoop people that walk past their new bird nests...)
- Mosquitos tend to not hang around at night during spring and summer, so its nice to sit outside.
- Daylight savings kicks in, so we put the clocks an hour forward, so it becomes dark an hour later, which means you get more time outside with family, gardening, etc before it gets to dark

Spring is the month that most look forward to.

However most of the time, Melbourne experiences 4 seasons in one day, but mostly it stays on just the one season.
(E.g. one day it will be Sunny and hot, the next day the clouds will roll over, stay there for a week, have it rain on and off, but then if the sun manages to creep through, its boiling hot until the clouds cover it again!)

Anyway, that's why i love Spring

springtime is the perfect time of year to embrace the luxuries of fashion. Whether your party is an indoor formal affair or outdoor garden celebration, it is a great excuse to put on your favorite dress, sunglasses and the added indulgence of a fabulous new hat.

the freshness and crispness of the air. being able to drive with your windows down, and seeing just how beautiful life is.

the simple pleasure of being able to drive with my sunroof open is one of my favorite things of the spring; and of course the blooming of my favorite flower, the tulip! and on top of all that: the new SPRING fashion : ) yay spring!

The thought of spring makes me happy because i could smell the fresh flowers the atmosphere that sort of represents "rebirth" which in then makes me mroe alive. im looking forward to taking more pictures by placing them on my hair and making dried flowers decoration after that.

i think i could write a whole book about why i LOVE spring...
first of all its so refreshing and relaxing to even think about spring right when winter ends..you have to go through all the cold weather wearing coats everywhere..thank god i live in los angeles and dont have to worry about snow..i dont think i could do it!!

its a time where you can start wearing all those cute sun dresses you've been hiding and those oversized sunglasses..you can get out those cute tank tops and shorts and walk out of the house with just wearing some flip-flops while throwing your hair in a bun being as comfy as you can be while still looking stylish and feeling like a hundred bucks. you get forward to wearing all sorts of bright colors and even going to get mani-pedis and getting crazy bright colors just because its cute. i think during the spring/summer ive had my toes in every bright color ever made..another reason spring is so amazing is because you can start to get a nice tan!! living in california im ALWAYS at the beach..its apart of my life and the sun beaming down on you in your cute little bikini that you spent a whole paycheck for feels totally worth it in the end!! its a time where you feel like everything starts to slow down a little bit and you can finally take time and relax for yourself. i love how spring just isnt about the weather but you can just feel the different happy vibes around you. i also enjoy spring because my birthdays in march and this march i will be turning 21!! its good to know that when you live in a place where there is amazing weather you can do so many other things then just go out to dinner and go to the movies...

its a time where you can go to reggae shows..go to the flee market and find a vintage dress you wouldnt find anywhere else. instead of driving a car you can ride your strand cruiser to get places and your working out at the same time while your enjoying the gorgeous weather. its a part of the year where you can get out that crazzy fedora that you thought you would never wear and give it a shot..spring brings out the best in me and i have the most fun during this time of season!

now writing this i cant wait for spring to offically start and summer..man i think i could write a novel about how i LOVE summer..

I LOVE Spring! I can't wait to see the bright green grass and blooming flowers--So gorgeous! I always like going to parks, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors. I look forward to the warmer weather, being able to feel the warmth of the sun, and most of all, not having to bundle up just to go outside!

There are SOOOO many things to look forward to. But if I really had to narrow it down I would have to say I CANNOT wait for summer clothes! Sun dresses are my favorite (and most comfortable!) and I love being able to wear one everyday with sandals. I also can't wait to just walk outside and feel the warm sun on my face, I swear I am a happier and much nicer person in the spring and summer months. :)

Hey Mischa. I'm in love with spring! I really just like making the most out of the weather by driving around in my car with the top down, wind blowing, music blasting, sunglasses on. I also really enjoy the little things too:

going outside to smoke a cigarette without freezing my butt off

being able to sit outside at starbucks, cafes, restaurants etc.

I don't have much to say.. However nothing beats spending Spring with my boyfriend. Im a winter person and he is indeed a summer person however in spring there is so much we can do together as here in Australia Spring is a mixture of the two. I love being in love and no matter what season it is, its always time spent with him. We have been together two years now. Spring to me, like every other season means love. Love the weather, Love the tree's and most of all love the time i spend with him.

The period where cherry blossoms bloom and last for one fleeting week is absolutely beautiful! I've got to say it's one of the most gorgeous times of year... little pops of pink here and there, and then suddenly, full trees of fantastic color against new green life! I go absolutely nuts with my camera when it's cherry blossom season... here are a couple pics I took a few years ago:

I also absolutely love how fresh and clean everything smells after a warm spring rain. Honestly, nothing can compare.

+ drinking sweet tea in the sunshine
+ taking pictures all around my little college town with fresh green backgrounds (my favorite is just after it rains)
+ jumping the gun by wearing sandals and sundresses even if it's still a bit chilly out
+ the drive in movie theatre opens again for the season
+ girls night - fizzy drinks and light o'dourves on the front porch
+ driving from one thrift store to the next (in search of the best vintage duds) with the windows down
+ avocados are in season. mmm!

My favorite thing about this spring is that my boyfriend will finally be coming back from Iraq! Can't wait to head to the beach with his goofy bulldog in tow!

The thing that I get most excited about during the spring time is the COLOR ... Everything is bright outside and, if you're lucky, you can find time to just sit and enjoy it. I love taking photos during the summer because all of the colors turn out so well and the fashion is so much fun after covering up with tights and sweaters all winter! This may be obvious, but I'm definitely excited for spring break. I'm going to Utah to go snowboarding, and although I'm not going to get that perfect tan that shows I had an amazing break in some tropical island, at least I can work out my bod while carving down a fresh, snow-packed mountain.
I'm also excited for Physics Day at Six Flags on March 27! That's when Six Flags opens the park to physics classes for cheap and we get to learn about momentum, energy, and all that fun stuff. Yeah, I'm a nerd.

well Considering i'm in Brisbane,Australia. it's Autumn... but whenSpring comes i love all the flowery spring clothes that come out and that it's not too cold and not too hot. And it's when me and my family go down to the gold coast or somwhere andwe sit on the grass and have a picnic. and me and my friends always have a great time going to the shops and hanging out

I’m a senior in high school and am anxious to hear back from all the colleges I applied to, so I can’t wait to see which colleges accept me.
After the college announcements are over, I am excited for prom. It is something I have looked forward to since I was in elementary school. Shopping for a prom dress should be fun too.
I live in Southern California, so the weather is practically the same all year round, but I am excited for day lights savings because it will get darker later in the evening. Taking walks on the beach after dinner and watching the sunset is just so relaxing.

well this spring is going to be probably the best spring for me this year! I just moved to Los Angeles and I'm starting a new chapter in my life. trying to follow my dreams and i know that i will make it here in the big city. But what i love the most about spring is the weather, fashion, and nature! its just a whole new season so everything changes! and for some reason spring always makes me feel happy, alive, and i dont have much sad moments :) The sun is out, The flowers are blooming, Easter fun times, and we can start wearing cute spring flower print dresses yay! I love and adore fashion its a big part of my life so theres going to be great fashion trends this spring ;)

I would absolutely have to agree with you in the way that winter has a huge effect on my mood and my energy. I love spring because the day starts to stay lighter longer, and the air and flowers are incredible, and fresh. I always look forward for the weather to get just a little bit warmer so I can go crusin' on my cruiser bike. Another thing I love about spring is all the new spring lines from clothing company's (and shoes as well). I'm so excited to start wearing colorful dresses and new gladiator sandals with maxi dresses and shorts! Ah, I could go on forever.. I mostly love spring because it leads us to Summer!!!

I love lots of things about spring! The sales, the flowers, the sunshine, the smell of freshly cut grass!; easter, the sunny nights, the birds, the hedgehogs, the rabbits, the new born lamb leaping through the fields; but mostly, I love the fact that it proves somethings are worth waiting for!!!

I love Spring time too because, in England (where I live), the colour changes are so vibrant and dynamic. The ground gets crisp and the trees turn this absolutely gorgeous shade of blossom....the air certainly smells fresher for sure! But the main reason that I love Spring is because it gives me a great feeling of optimism...not quite yet summer, there's a transcendental time before the frenzy of summer where people seem excited, they seem "boosted", and hopeful. Spring time means longer evenings of light, beautiful dusk's and sunsets, it's romantic and I think, the healthiest season of them all.

As many Japanese do, I look forward to seeing cherry blossoms and it's pink in Spring. I don't mean I especially like pink, for I also like green, blue, white, black etc. But the light pink of cherry blossom is not mere pink for me.
When I was a high school student, I heard the interesting fact that cherry tree had pink layer right under all over its skin. That means the pink of cherry blossom was only a small part of the pink of whole cherry tree. The fact deeply hit my heart. Since then, I've looked cherry tree like some Great Existence. I think it has it's own will. In other seasons it hides and in Spring it releases the pink. So Spring is the season when I can meet the Great Existence of Pink hidden under the skin of cherry tree. After the season, all I can do is to remember it. So in the season I see it all out. The life of cherry blossom is very short. It's unconscious nature, but it's so beautiful and moving.

There's really nothing like the Spring, Mischa. I've always looked at this particular season as a fresh start; almost like a clean slate for the new year. I'm a big fan of long walks, my dog (Nala) also; she will insist on diving into the water, and there's something so peaceful about walking through somewhere like the park, surrounded by nature, and just taking in that beautiful fresh air and organic scent of the flowers. It might sound strange, but something so simple as that kind of atmosphere can change my mood, instantly. It's so gratifying. What I love the most, though, is listening to my favorite music while out in this kind of weather. Nothing beats that! My ipod, my dog, and the perfect stroll - that's my Spring. And who could forget a great picnic?

I also love this time of year because I can finally pull those blinds up, let the sunshine in, and leave the window open all day! Air freshener has nothing on the real thing :]!

So, yeah, I guess that's what I look forward to the most. You can't put a price on simplicity.

I'm from England and I live really near London so the best thing for me when the Spring comes is actually going to the parks, like St. James Park which is beautiful!! I go there with friends and there's always an ice cream van and I feel like a samll girl again, buying my 99!! Haha, and I love wearing my shorts with a t-shirt and sunglasses and just lying on the grass, looking at the sky with my ipod on! its amazing :) Also because its warmer, I buy a frescato from Costa's which is the most refreshing drink ever haha! so I can't wait for a really sunny weekend so me and my friends can all do that because it really is the best time of year for me!!! lots of love, sarah xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Spring to me is like eating skittles: it’s sweet and very colourful!

There are lots of reasons I adore spring. First of all it’s a new beginning: everything and everyone reinvent themselves, so it’s like being born again.

It’s also the time of the year when you get butterflies in your stomach. It’s like a natural drug: you need it in order to get better. It’s like saying goodbye to those long, dark night and halo to all the joy and light in life! And just like flowers we need this light and warmth to grow, as a person, as a human being.

And of course spring is the season when a miracle happened: my birth lol. I love to celebrate my birthday in this season. It’s like beginning with a clean sheet and closing an old chapter. I feel the positive energy in life: there are so many things to do and there is so less time.

This spring I'm most excited about finishing high school. In Norway, where I come from, we have something we call "russefeiring" where the high school seniors celebrate graduating. This lasts from May 1st to May 17th, and contains lots of fun and partying!

I am also looking forward to warmer weather, walking barefoot in the green grass, the smell of flowers and having fun with the spring fashion! :)

Spring for me always reminds me of rebirth. A new beginning, and NOT like a "New Years Eve New Beginning" where people say their resolution is to stop drinking or to start losing weight and then a week later they don't stick to it- its such a cliche- but spring is a "REAL" rebirth. The new flowers and leaves are springing out getting ready for a new year. Their fresh and vibrant and symbolically encouraging people to be the same way- to not be afraid to start anew:) Which is what I'm doing this year. I applied to NYU for this fall so lots of preparations to be done:) I'm 20 yrs. old and took some time off of school but quickly realized I was getting no where and the only way to move forward is to go back (to school:) I ADORE New York in the spring. The COLD winter smell of car fuels and pavement is rekindled to smells of warmth, and peanut vendors, and despite the pollution, you can still at times smell gusts of fresh spring air- and central park has come out of hibernation and is ready for joggers and dog walkers with tanks and sneakers rather than boots and coats:) I can't wait to move their for school and enjoy the four seasons especially spring- my dry skin cant take it anymore!:-p HOPE YOU ENJOY MY POEM

The most exciting thing about spring for me is just the sights, the sounds and the smells. Everything is new and fresh and reminds me about starting fresh and that if I have done bad things in the past, I can always change and become a better person.
The spring is always a great time, evenings are getting longer so that means nice walks in the park with my dogs, the smells of fresh greenery....it's so yummy! And the best bit....warmer weather = walking barefoot in the grass, which is possibly my favourite thing to do ever =D

oh I wish I could say something, but Im from Argentina and here we're finishing the summer :( but I can say what I'd love to do our next spring or your autumn. Is it weird? haha.
Lets see, I think spring is the cutest season of the year and I can say a lot of activities, even lie to win but im not gonna write a list of 'to do' things. What I like about spring is that makes me feel happy. You walk through the parks and see that mother nature its reinventing itself in front of you and thats inspiring, its beautiful, but we dont see it because we're always runing. So, my plans for the next spring are try to enjoy every single thing around me... nothing complicated, just slow down for a second and breathe, think, reinvent myself, find my inner strength to keep going... and nature could be a good role model, don't you think?

Since I cant win cause Im becoming a autumn girl soon haha, I take this opportunity to thank you for being such an inspiration. Its true that we dont *really* know you and we cant talk that much but I love what I see. You show us that there's people out there who really cares about the others, who thinks about a better place. Baseball starting, college basketball finishing, and pretty girls in tanktops riding their bicycles near the beach as the weather warms.

I look forwoard to out away my quilted jacket and start wearing more thinner clothes. I always love when the Coltsfoot(a yellow flower)groves out and I look forwoard to pick them up and set them in a vase in my room, they are soo beautilful. I also can't wait to start running outside without all the snow it feels so good to have the wind blown in your face when your running. I also planning to take the year first bath soon, I planning to take it in may or something. P also LOVE the smell of spring, it so fresh and you don't get that fire smell stick to you like you do in winter when everyone kindle their fireplace. I really hope I win the signed polaroids because I'm really burning for it! :)

I am excited for spring because i have a lot of cool stuff coming up....i moved back in with my parents in january after doing fieldwork in costa rica during the fall. i graduated from University of Kansas in may 08, so am a little broke from loan repayment and all! i've been working 60 hours a week, and the weather in kansas is terrible....But i am really excited because I got a position working with sea turtles that actually pays so for once I will build my resume and not work for just beans and rice! Then I am also excited because my oldest friend and I are planning to backpack europe this fall, so if we can make the money, that is one of my biggest life goals HAPPENING! I am also excited for my parents who are going to France in 2 weeks to visit my sister who is studying abroad at Parsons Fashion school in Paris...and of course...my stepdad's fluent in french but has never even been!!! and of course, the music festi, outdoor concerts, and beautiful weather that comes along with spring :) anyways, thanks for the posts....i love your fashion, my sister has designed a few things inspired by you :)

Each year our class takes a school trip to some place in Europe and this year us seniors are heading over to Berlin. As it so happens, in spring. :)
I can't wait to discover a new city with all my friends, laugh and go to bed way later than we're supposed to, waking up tired but still managing to absorb all the culture and history of Germany. I can't wait for the 12-hour busride which is sure to be as awesome as last year's (when we went to Paris, I live in Belgium). We usually crank the music and hop from seat to seat. So, I guess, this spring, I look forward to making sure us seniors have one last kick-ass "party" before leaving for college in the fall.

It's quite difficult to tell you my feelings about spring in English, but I'm gonna try.
In France, the weather was sad in the last few months, a lot of rain which made me feel sad and nervous. So when the sky shines in the beginning of march, I feel relived and very happy, whatever happens in my life. It has a strong influence on my mood. Then I love fashion, it may sound superficial, but I always expect sun to wear nice clothes that I already bought during the winter ! This spring, I'm gonna wear many fresh dresses (you know MORGAN stuff for example), lots of headband like you, necklaces and bracelets ... so I'm looking forward for this season. Also, my mum is fond of flowers so my garden is full of them, and it smells incredibly good. I was glad that we have that in common.

My english is not the best, but I'll try.
Here in Norway we have had the most snowiest and coldest winter in a long, long time, so I'm really looking forward to see green trees and a bare ground agian. I'm also looking forward to trow all this ugly winterclothes out, let's face it, noone can look good in -20*C and still avoid a cold.
This Spring is also my last in Junior high, so even though it's sad, leaving all these people I've known for 10 years, I'm looking forward to a fresh and new start.

spring 2009, im most looking forward to riding the classic oxford, a charity cycle ride 60 miles in aid of breast cancer.(againstbreastcancer.org.co.uk) ive done it past 4 years and i raise hundreds of pounds for a terrific charity.
puts a smile on my face and heart knowing im doing something to help a person i dont know personally but who is going through hell right now but i may just make a tiny difference to there life by raising money simply riding my bike.

Well, I'm from Brazil, so now, here is summer.. But I have to say that when Spring comes I feel more happy and everything is beautiful, I love to see the colors of the flowers (my favorite is violet flower) walking around my city and see the garden from some places, the different trees that I can find, the weather is great, the beaches are perfect, I like hanging out with my friends. Nature makes me feel happy, and is good to realize that we can't live without nature! Each season makes me feel different but there is nothing better than spring!

My favourite thing is the feeling. I'm not sure if any of you feel this way but something about the breeze and sun mixture in spring makes me so relaxed and instantly happy. That's what I look forward to most and I felt it for the first time today in NYC.

My dad got me a beautiful camera last year for my graduation gift that I always carry around with me, since I do aspire to make part of my living as a photographer. I'm always taking pictures, and as gorgeous as uninterrupted snow can be in the winter, I've noticed that I bring my camera out more in springtime, and that I get better pictures of the outside world. Everything is brighter, more vivid, more colorful, and the weather is perfect. So I can spend hours upon hours outside taking pictures with my camera, without my fingers freezing to the point of numbness. I believe that if you find the right angle, you can take a cool picture with anything, and the spring scenery makes for gorgeous pictures. Also, I love it when it stays lighter later in the day, so I can spend much more time outside. And on top of everything, school comes closer to ending, so I can spend more time with my friends enjoying the weather.

I always enjoy traveling in the Spring time because it is simply the most beautiful season. All of the new plants and flowers are fresh and ready for pictures . Picnics are always great in the Spring time. When Spring comes my whole mood changes, it's very relaxing and green. It makes me feel replenished and new.

Spring to me represents new beginnings. It's right before summer and the start of a season that is so full of life and vibrancy. I enjoy winter at times, but spring makes me feel like a kid again. I remember long days in the park, playing in the leaves or when I would play with my first dog outside. Winter just seems so depressing sometimes that I welcome the change with open arms. I feel like we can start over and go out and enjoy the long nights and bright lights. There's so much beauty in things and it seems to be most evident at this time of year.
Also if I had to pick a song to pinpoint spring to it would be "Come on, Come out" by A Fine Frenzy. She has such lovely music and completely captures the mood and feeling of spring.

I definitely agree with you. Winter is so depressing, especially when you live in Canada where it's constantly snowing. Spring makes me happy because it's one step closer to Summer - which I love. What I'm looking forward to most, though, is the green grass... because I haven't seen it in a while!

Spring is such an exciting holiday because everything begins to bloom. Flowers start to blossom, tree's regain their color, but most importantly, the personalities of people starts to shine. I truly think that Spring is the season where you can walk down the street, say hello to a stranger, and receive a genuine "Hello" in return. Everyone is happy!!
On a personal note, I enjoy Spring because it means sunshine but also rainy days too!! It's the best of both worlds! :)

i can't wait for all the sun dresses! I love dresses with bright colors, I love the sun. and I absolutely LOVE dying eggs for easter. my 6 year old cousin and I go crazy with that. of course, we end up making a mess, but it's all worth it(: mostly, i just love going shopping, i'm addicted to dresses, so when new ones come out i spend entirely too much money on them haha!

I love spring, not just because my birthday happens to be in that season but also because the weather is best. Not too hot and not too cold, just right.

I think that the best thing about spring to me is the nice smell of fresh air and the grass [sounds weird but its true]. Its also my birthday season, sometimes we have the good/bad weather, where its just a normal.. not too cold or hot. When spring comes it makes me so happy, knowing that its time to lovely dresses and basically just relaxing. Also during spring you can do lots of things. I'm looking forward to eat a lot of RAMEN and SOBA, beach and colorful clothes this spring and spend most of my activities with my family and friends and somehow improve my bond with them...

I can't wait for the warm weather because I LOVE fresh air!! I love being outdoors when its warm and doing fun stuff with my friends like having water fights, having BBQ's or just hanging out in beer gardens. And I also love it when its still warm when its gone dark so we can sit in my garden just chatting and not having to bother that its cold and I especially love being able to sleep with the window open and feeling the breeze on me while I sleep! Ahhhh I want it now!!

There are many things I love about the Spring...One is the shops new clothing lines, all the dresses, bikinis, BAGS and shoesss<3 Ahhh can't wait...but, every different element comes with Spring, that odd feeling of somthing new is coming, the butterflies and the bees, the smell of the freshly cut grass(Having had good weather to be able to cut it)I love the pink cherry blossems on the trees, and I love it when they fall in the Summer...I also love the spring rain, however odd that sounds. One spring I went on holiday, it was in the middle of the country, woods surrouned us...and it rained EVERY DAY:( but the sun was out still...All the ducks were sitting in the puddles...And when we were in the house, a mother duck came in, looking for food, her ducklings behind her.Giving them bread, they all came into the house. After the mother left, and the ducklings were still in. As we had a double glass doors, they saw her go, and tried following her...but managed to walk into the glass...We had to pick them up and get them out, then they toddled out to there mum. The first time I ever held a duckling was Spring, and its a memory I will never forget.:)

This spring I will travle to Spain twice. First on a fotball camp and then with my class. It's gonna be so fun!

And then I'm looking forward to Tokio Hotels new album. I'm a big fan of the band and i can't wait for their album to get out!

i love everything with the spring. the warm weather, just hang out with friends, listen to music and just chill out, i just love the weather in trondheim on the spring.
i miss being out, when it's not cold, and just having fun with my friends. when it's so dark and cold out, i don't feel so good. so, the spring is something i really look forward to this year :)

Well... What i love the most is the signs of spring. i love the flowers who's pushing themselves through the thin layer of snow.
The sound of purling streams. And the warm breezes.
And that you can throw all the warm winter jackets into the wardrobe and start a new era by rummage through all your spring clothes and go and look in the stores for new spring fashion.
And you can look through a spread in VOUGE and dream of the most prettiest spring clothes on earth.
And what I love the most is that you know it wont be long until the summer comes knocking on your door.
And this is what I'm looking forward to this spring.

As a self-proclaimed future fashion designer, i always get really excited for the spring/summer collections of my favorite designers (MARC JACOBS!, karl lagerfeld, dsquared, betsey johnson) and all the things to look forward to in my favorite magazines (nylon, vogue) i also look foward to, ofcourse, my birthday!! its during the rainy month of april so i get to see everything come back to life after a super cold winter (especially here in canada!) right around my birthday. I think the best thing about spring has to be the fact that once your in spring, you know summer is just around the corner :)

i canot wait for spring to start!! see i live in canada and it snows ALOT in winter and its kinda tiring and depressing to have all that snow and cloudy days not to mention the cold,it impacts your mood so as soon as i see the snow start to melt and the sun come out its so refresing i dont know what it is about it but its i feel like its a sign summer is coming soon which is amazing and like the flowers start to come out the leaves start to grow on branches the weather starts to get warm and sunny its just so exicting and amazing(like a new begging,a fresh start)to see all this after long days of constant snow and no sun it can drive a person mad(and im not trying to drive you away from canada ;)) and the thing is i love the sun and to see different colors around me im a very sunny person thats why my nickname is sabrina sunshine(yea i know corny) and what do i plan on doing this spring hmmm.. is spening EVERYDAY outside taking advantage of the beautiful weather and going to montreal fashion week! since i live in montreal im not as lucky as you i cant go to paris' or london's even new york fashion week but montreal will do.. to see more beautiful colors and clothes it helps the meaning to spring that is the start of something new.. well i could go blabbing fo days but you asked for my idea of spring and you got it :)

I`m really looking forward to wear a t-shirt again!! And dry roads! I am soooo sick of snow that I feel like vomiting whenever I look out the window!! lol! And offcourse sitting outside with a cold beer in my hands. Now THAT`S heaven! ;)

This year in spring i will hopefully pass my a-level , at the moment i´m all inside and learning. so if i pass my a-level i´d like to celebrate it outside. i´m really looking forward to spend my time outside again without learning maths. :) and i will make a little party in the garden with friends and flowers and the sun.

The smell of freshly cut grass <3 And also daffodils and sunflowers growing make me happy, they always remind me of that scene in Peter Pan where the flowers sneeze and kiss Peter on the cheek, so cute!!

I can't wait for Spring this year, because I am graduating from university, and then I will be free! Plus, my best friends from high school are finally going to visit me from the other side of the country to celebrate said freedom. It will be epic. I can't wait for my old life to meet meet up with my new life, and then start all over again, hopefully in a new city.

Hi Mischa - hope u're alright :) If i had to choose only one thing I really like about spring, it would be the song of birds in the morning.. You know, when you're still lying in bed, it's really early and you can hear all that diffent sounds of birds. They cant stop singing.. It give you smile, it give you the strenght to go out your bed and open the curtains and see the sun whose coming on your face.. You can see the cloudless blue sky. And you just feel good. So good. You know you'll have a nice day because the spring's there and everything's better in springs :)

okay so, spring! theres soo many things i love about this season, where do i begin? alright, i have to say one of my favourite things has to be the new spring/summer collections that come out by my favourite designers, which i can fully appreciate as i am a self-proclaimed future fashion designer myself. going along with that would have to be the new magazines that come out, with all the spring fashion tips that ill get to use throughout the warm weather. The best thing about spring has to be my BIRTHDAY!! i love that my birthday's in spring, just as the weather is getting nicer and everythings in bloom, especially around my birthday (its in april, which means one thing - constant rain!) the last thing has to be that when spring comes, you know that summer is just around the corner! :D

it seems like winter has dragged on for forever! normally i love it but it's too much this year. i can't wait for flip flops and summer dresses and PROM! (by the way, what's your take on printed prom dresses? some are okay, but animal print = TACKY! so many girls at my school are doing it, and i just want something simple. and pink. =D) also, now that i finally have contacts, i can wear my cool sunglasses! and pool parties at my best friend's, going to the park to see the tulip gardens and swing in the playground... i like spring. =)

I'd say my favourite things about spring are the clean and stale weather which brings the promise of summer. Also I love the early blossoming of plants and trees as well as the fact that lots of great movies come out at this time of year...just look at Watchmen and The Wrestler. Also the days become longer leading to beautifully photographic sunsets. Also its a great time of year to snowboard or ski depending on your preference- i find nothing better than the swiss mountain air - which can cure any hangover as well as carving up fresh powder.

Being a photographer as well, I like your polaroids especially the right hand one where you are clearly doing the Zoolander face.

Well, the thing I look forward to the most with Spring is the first warm day of the year. When you actually feel the sun's shones on your shoulders. Because Winter makes you feel so shut in, and your own mood is always a bit tired and so on. But when Spring arrives, even the very first day it shines, it makes you feel better, happier etc. :) Well, anyhow I feel that way. And when the flowers starts to blossom, wow it's so beautiful. I love to have all these fantastic colors around me, don't you?

I love the spring, because it's one step closer to summer. I love the rain, the flowers, the smell, and the temperature. My absolute favourite part of spring would have to be the rain. I could lay in my bed and listen to the droplets hit the roof all night. It is a very relaxing moment, so soft and tranquil; inspiring me as a person. I am 16 years old, and just like most people, I feel tired and almost depressed during the winter. Spring is optimistic, and opens up many doorways to what you can do. More time outside creates happier people. I love taking walks, even by myself, just to think. I love walking through the flowering apple trees in the park. Wearing flowing clothes; no more winter jackets and mittens. I love the tulips that start to rise in the front of our house. It's such a gorgeous time of year.

I get so excited, when I can see how snow is getting away and the sun is taking hold of the sky. Also rain makes me happy: It makes so fresh air and I just love rain if it doesn't rain every day. And the warmth ! You don't need any special outerwear and it makes me feel so free and everything. Spring gives me so many lovely and inspiring feelings, though I've been a bit depressed for a while. I just wait when the "real spring" begins, 'cause I think it's sooo beautiful when nature "wakes up" and I am able to go to parks chilling out with my friends. Spring also makes me happy 'cause I know that the summer is so close. I just wait that feeling I hear birds singing and see butterflies flying around.

haha, what is Spring? I reside in Arizona where our two seaons consist of summer and fall. During that transition, Spring may come in the form of 2 weeks, when the trees blossom like popcorn balls with the strongest scent you can smell from just a crack in your window in your car.

I am definitely excited for tulips and being able to wear skirts and sandals instead. And to Heather, a few comments above me, I had a ladybug land on me yesterday on my walk to class and it made me smile.

I am so excited for spring fashion! The pieces I am most looking forward to buying are rompers, hippie headbands, really ripped up/shredded skinny jeans, and anything free people! I also love wearing florals in spring! By the way, you are a fashion icon! I really admire your sense of fashion because you're not afraid to wear something daring and edgy. I also love how you add a bohemian twist to everything you wear :D

spring is amazing. everything is being reborn, you forget how much you miss green grass. the temperature creeps up more and more, melting the snow into a gooey mud mess that gives you a reason to wear cute rain boots and feel like a little girl again. the indescribable joy of splashing around in a puddle. no need to waste your money on a car wash, the rain washes my car clean of the salty grit from the winter. the yellows and pinks of daffodils and tulips shoot up out of the new ground. the hum of lawnmowers is back. my favorite thing is the sun shines longer, warming up the earth like someone stuck it in a microwave and pressed defrost. the birds around the birdfeeder, chirpin away. living in the country is a blessing, riding my bikes on the windy roads, feelin like I finally figured out my escape plan.
time to pull out your biggest bug-eyed sunglasses, and your summer clothes that let the sun touch your skin.

I'm from Malaysia, and we don't have the Spring season here but to be honest, Spring is my most fav season, whats with the beautiful flowers blooming and the super nice weather. Everything is just so right, and I get to experience this few years back when I was in Japan, everything is sooo beautiful! Cherry blossoms, omg, I don't even know how to explain it.. Its not hot, neither cold, everything is so green with added pretty colors.. Just perfect! To get stuck in a country where its always so HOT or always raining, this, to me, is a pure bliss!

I just love the spring and it is my favourite season, all the snow melts away, and the green grass comes out, I don't think you realize how much you miss all of these things in the winter because it seems so unreal in a way, that is why it is so surprising and fun when the spring comes.:) One thing that i am really looking forward to see besids the things I already wrote, is all the colors. Spring in Berlin is simply fantastic, the fresh fragrance, the people are all so happy and the city awakes from its winter sleep. That's a feeling you can't get anywhere else. You should come to Berlin soon, it's beautiful!

Spring Break huh - well I call it summer holidays, but I havent had 8 weeks off to mess about with my friends in a long time.

I used to love the idea of having nothing to do and all day to do it in - spending time with the people I care about and not being forced into rooms - be them offices or classrooms or even common rooms - with people I dont like, or who constantly judge me. I love the sun on my skin making me warm and the smell of freshly cut grass.

Now I work I guess I like watching people without a care i n the world, just being them selfs...

My favourite thing about the spring are the outdoor concerts, drinking beer in the sun with friends, maybe one marlboro light or sigar, wearing cute dresses, long wavy hair and my ray-bans on. Just enjoying the music, and life with friends.

Spring is my favorite time of year. Waking up to sunshine instead of a haze of grey out my window, the birds chirping on the tree just outside - it makes me actually want to get up early and go out to do things. But it's not just because of the weather, the flowers, the environment. It's because I get to see the people I love the most for the first time since they left at the end of summer.

When it came time to go off to college, I was the only one who stayed behind. Unsure of what I wanted to do with my life, I thought community college was the best idea for me at the moment. But then each and every one of my friends since I was playing in the sandboxes went off states away. At first, we were good at keeping in touch with the help of texting and facebook, but lately - it has been harder. We've all been busier, they've made hundreds of new friends whereas I've sort of been stuck because the friends I made in college all live pretty far from me. But when they come home, it's like nothing changed. And that's why I love the spring. It's like my smile has been put on hold until the seasons change and it gets a little warmer out, because I know I'm that much closer to seeing the people I grew up with.

Of course, the beautiful weather, the joys of being able to wear my flip flops without getting strange looks, and the colors that are fresh and bright are wonderful. But it's so hard to enjoy if you're not feeling complete, and when I see those people and get to talk to them as much as I'd like and see them as much as I'd like, that's the only time I feel that way.

My bithday is in April so thats one reason.
You know it is just going to get warmer from that point onwards.
Like you if you go to some gardens the flowers are at their best.
When you finish work it is still light.
I go out for more and longer bike rides and take in the views of the sun setting over the country. x

Heyy Mischa, what Im looking forward spring is the love in the air. That feeling, when you get when your filled with joy. Winter finally of course, people can now wear shorts. Also, I especially ecxited for spring because seeing people outside riding bikes, eating ice cream and seeing ice cream melting is going to be something. Plus I love that feeling, at night when its spring people still outside, seeing people cook with there grills.

Spring is something amazing, and i can't wait to finally wear dresses lol :]!

My favorite season is winter, I just love it…rain rain and sometimes unexpected snow falling over the city… :) but this year I really look forward Spring for two reasons : first a friend of mine is returning from Europe after a year out so I want the months pass very fast to see her again.
Second: I’m in senior year… that’s mean in Spring I will finish school and be prepare to say goodbye to my friends and teachers and welcome university… weird really… leave my home and friends… A new era… scary :| but exciting at the same time.
Personally, I love Spring nights, (hot and cold at the same time… ) smoking and listening music… and thinking… yep…thinking about my life and that stuff…

There's no reason not to be happy about spring coming up. Spring just resurrects my five sense organs and let me see how the world becomes alive again!

I'd have to say, like a lot of other people, my favorite aspect of Spring is the smell and just the feel. When i walk outside with the sun shining and the snow melting, it just feels so new and like my thoughts and worries are gone. The Spring reminds me of when i was little and i could run around with no cares in the world. I'm a very skeptical person about everything, but Spring gives me hope of something better.

First off, I love the poloroids. I adore poloroid pictures...the way it captures the realness of a subject. There is something literally raw about a poloroid picture, it embraces the subject in such a beautiful way. Anywayyy haha..my favorite part about spring is the way the air smells. It sounds weird but there is a certain purity in the air, especially after a spring shower. That is probably also my favorite part of spring, the rain! It's nice to see the snow melt away and to see the flowers bloom. --wearing cute spring clothes isn't so bad either ;)

I'm originally from finland so I totally understand the "Seasonal Affected Depression" you might feel from winter, but now, and for the past 10 years i've linved in Malaysia, where we have no seasons!

BUT, spring still holds special meaning. I'm graduating from high-school this year, and this spring break my friends and I are all going to Bali for a week. So for me spring is all about my friends, and i'm so excited.

My house has no central heat (because my roomie and I are too broke to afford it), so I am definitely happy that spring is around the corner!

While I have an immense love and respect for evergreen trees, I am thrilled to know all the other trees will be budding leaves. I do think leafless trees against a clear sky have a certain beauty, but I love love love seeing leafy green trees everywhere. And I look forward to taking long walks in the woods on days off work. :} I feel more connected with my surroundings, and even with myself, when I am in nature. Extended daylight hours will be nice, as well.

There is no better cure for winter cabin fever and nasty cold weather like the warm spring sun touching your skin as you climb on a Harley Davidson and chart a course for wherever you may roam. The smell of honeysuckle, flowers, and fresh cut grass on country roads and highways mixed with pockets of cool air and warm sun equals the best medicine for the winter blues. You can always make time in your life to ride off in the beautiful spring sunset.

Living in New England, spring could mean snow. hahaha.....hopefully not this year. It is already starting to warm up and I can see the grass again. I guess that's what I look forward to each winter. I have a 6 year old son and playing outside on the grass with him is such a thrill for me. Whether it's baseball, hiking or catching bugs, spring, summer and fall are spent outside in the yard. Being a single father of a young boy, I am always trying to share with him the beauty and wonders of nature.

My favourite thing is the daffodil flowers! They way they randomly burst out of the ground and are sucha beautiful vibrant colour is just amazing! I love it! Shame I live in the Southern Hemisphere and we're heading into Autumn. Still, lovely colours to be seen then too. Or "Fall" as I think the U.S. calls it.

where i come from the winter is long and cold and dark. im living in Norway. so when the spring comes we selebrate, an that`s alot of fun.

anather thing i love about the spring is what it does to the human. the mood is so much better. i always say the life is so much better in this season.

the trees are also begining to get there leafs back. and the world is going from dark to sunny and fab.

and one of my favorite things is that it`s posible to wear nice skirts and sutch whitout freezing to death! hehe

What I'm looking forward to is the sun. I'm from the Netherlands and believe me the weather over here is HORRIBLE! Springtime makes me feel happy, a little sun on my face makes me getting excited. I love having drinks with my friends, having romantic evenings with my hubby at the beach. To bad it's only possible for 2 months or so..

Spring is definitely my favourite season, it's the time when days get longer and all of a sudden there's so much light and colours! I love the first warm days when the snow starts to melt (I live in Finland) and it feels so warm after the long, cold and dark winter. Also, when hanging out with friends we don't have to go inside anymore, we can go sit on a park or eat ice cream in the sunshine. :]
Oh, and of course, summer clothes. It's awesome when you can only wear like a sundress & ballerinas, and toss your jacket!

Spring is really a memorable season for me...
my grandma passed away from breast cancer a few years ago during the spring, i took my first steps in a park during the spring, so it's pretty bittersweet :( :| :)
but spring is one of my favourite seasons because the winter period is over, but what sucks is sometimes here, it SNOWS IN THE SPRING! it's crazy, but we try to make the most of it. I'm pretty optimistic because of stuff like this. Hahaa :)
optimism causes people to live long, and have less chance of cancer.
so the benefits of spring, a long and happy life.

My favorite part about spring is the people. I love how much happier people seem to be. Winter definitely drags everybodies mood down and I love watching everyone cheer up. Across the street from my house, there is this particular tree that always blooms. I love seeing the blooms on this tree ever since I was young because it always reminds me of spring and the beginning of warm weather. I love the flowers and I can even handle spring allergies because i'm happy it's warm outside. I love rolling my windows down on my car and driving around for the first time. That is always so exciting to me. I love being outside and feeling the sun on me. The sun makes me so happy, I could be outside forever. I love the smell of a chlorinated pool and when the birds start chirping. The smells and sounds of spring are the most appealing to me. Spring is one of my favorite seasons because it brings a lot of optimism with it. After coming out of a cold winter, it's exciting to experience the "firsts" of spring. Those are my favorite parts of the overall year.

...obviously the best thing about spring is being able to wear dresses of all colours and shapes pretty much all the time!

my favorite thing about spring is that the air is starting to get not to warm and not to cold its just right and its amazing how the Birds start to come back in the spring and I love hearing them sing everyday in spring it seems like more birds come each day. And I also love the feeling to go outside and play baseball with my friends going to the park and chilling and having fun. The best part is eatin outside with all your Buddies. No Better feeling. i just love the smell and feel of spring time and these are the reasons why (=

My 3 favorite things about spring are:
* being woken up by twittering birds at the crack of dawn and looking forward to a picknick in the park
* walking barefoots in the grass in my backyard whilst picking flowers
* my breezy scarf blowing in the wind and waiting for my beloved one to pick me up for a walk around the lake

Hmmm What do i love about spring?

Spring & autum are my favourtie seasons, When the trees are buddding and the flowers are blooming, i actually saw dafodils for the first time this year yesterday.

The warmer weather but still with a cool breeze, the family meet ups to the botanical gardens what brings you closer together when your actually fading away from each other... Picnics in the park & spring weddings.

Waking up to the sounds of birds singing. The smell of fresh cut grass & the trips to the local farm.

Not being covered up in layer & layers of clothes!!!

Watching my nephew do a easter egg hunt & most of all mothers day.

The fact that spring is so unpredictable.... Sunny,Raining,Cold,Windy? The fact that spring starts on a different date everywhere but mainly we dont know what it starts.

here in Germany spring has just been starting last week.It's great the sun shines the whole day, but it's still cold :( I love spring, but I think summer is much better so warm and sunny that you could be the whole day at a lake with all you friends. Then you can just live your life as you want :) And one question do you have an e-mail adress? Because if I have to send you a letter from Germany it's very expensive.

Hi Micha, you'll probably not read this but in case you do...The best thing about spring is that you get to remember that summer is getting close.I love summer, well I live in Brazil I guess you must probably know where it is,there's no way I could possibly hate summer, who does? But I hate it in here.I'm sure that in two years from noow I'm moving to LA.I'm brazilian, but last year I went to Los Angeles and loved it, I have friends there.And maybe I'm even going to Newport to study in Harbor, I'm so glad.Here in Brazil we love to watch the o.c. we still do, for example tomorrow we're gathering to watch the second season again.And we totally love your character, marissa.I have a friend that saw you in LA in Adam Brody's band concert but it was long time ago.Just have to tell you that I'm a big fan of your's I think you're pretty awesome, and your style too.

Hi Mischa! I'm looking forward to the blossom on the trees... It's almost as if the trees have been storing all this energy and excitement over winter, but in spring, the trees burst, there's an explosion of soft petals... they scatter across the pavements and it looks like someone has dropped a mountain of pink and white sweets... you get this unexplainable rush, smiling is of course inevitable. And who doesn't love the crazy spontaneous activities you do with your friends, like prancing about in Hyde park, even if it's raining!

What i look forward to most about spring is the new beginning that comes with it. It feels like everytime Spring rolls around you shed another layer of your skin off and discover a little new thing about yourself you never really knew was there. It's when you discover yourself all over again, and just start having more fun with life. For me, the school year is almost over, and i'm looking forward to the new and fun adventures the summer will bring. Spring is the time when you kind of wake up again and realize how awesome and beatiful life is. For me, Spring is the start of a new beginning.

I can see I'm not the only one who enjoys this wonderful season. Well, this spring I will be turning 18 and honestly I'm quite excited about this upcoming venture in my life. I intend to find a good job, start college, and move into a place of my own with my signifigant other [: besides all the busy work and planning I'm just looking forward to the warm weather, I hate being cooped up in the house all day. I cant wait until I'm able to go to the park on silly picnics, ride my bike and walk everywhere! And staying out late again just sounds perfect to me. More than anything I cant wait until it rains and i open my windows at 2 in the morning to have a cool warm breze just fill my bedroom.

As much as I love seasons, watching the snow melt away and hearing the birds start to sing just fills that emptiness I feel throughout the long winter! It can never come too soon. My dog Beans and I love to walk along the boardwalk in the warmer weather with the sun beating down and all the animals running around. The fact that my birthday falls in the Spring season makes me love it that much more!

I'm just so excited about finishing my master thesis in a few days. It's a good time to be finished, because when I am I can just go out and like soak up the sun and really enjoy it. When you have a lot of work to do, you can't really feel spring. But a few hours in the spring sun can give your energy back! I love it so much :)

Wow there are a lot of comments here... I don't know how you will possibly read them all! My husband is a HUGE fan of yours (and so am I) and would love to have an autographed pic! I have never looked forward to spring as much as this year. This is because we have a baby boy and going out with him in the winter is hard! I am so looking forward to going for walks, taking him to the park and putting him on the swing for the first time, taking him to the zoo, and not having to bundle him up in his snowsuit every day! And as always I look forward to longer days, fresh fruit, and green trees and grass.

The thing I'm most excited for this spring is to start seeing the trees begin to bud, the grass start to turn from brown to green, and all the flowers blooming and filling the air with their splendid aroma. Like you winter drags me down, and bums me out. I'm ready to feel the warmth of the sun on my back as I step out into the exciting changes that happen when it changes from winter to spring. :)

I'm most excited for when you feel the suns heat in your face the first time. Then you know that spring isnt far away and with spring love comes along. Even if the love is for a near friend its still love and that spring love feeling is impossible to get somwhere else.

Who are you again?

Aside from being able to shed some layers, I'd have to say that as a freshman in college, I'm definitely looking forward to see my family most. I've been trapped in a 170 square foot dorm room (not literally, of course!) on a wonderful campus filled with a bunch of diverse people, some whom I've greatly had the privledge to meet. I've only been home once all quarter though, and I've got to say that I didn't think it was possible to meet my family this much! Even despite the friendly atomosphere and the learning opportunities at college! I would say that the daily phone calls and texts do not compare to how amazing it would be to see my younger sister's lovely face, especially seeing as I missed her sweet sixteen and feel terrible about it. Also, my mom's home cooking sounds pretty cook right about now.

(I'm sorry if there is any wrong in my spelling or grammar, but I'm from Sweden.. And, well, that explains almost everything.)

Every spring I'm feeling so happy. It's like a new, fresh, start for me, like the year is giving me new chances every 12th month. When the grass is starting to grow, my confidence does the same. When the flowers are showing their must colorful side, my life does it too.
I love the spring. I can let the past behind, and then I can look forward, to a new, sunny, future.
That's why I love the spring. Because it gives me new chances, every, single, year. It doesn't give up on me, ever.

the spring is a great time flowers , colours the sun. it finally get warm in england and as that were you are from im sure you know how chilly it is . your mother irish and it even colder there ha.

the sun and heat on your face is such a great feeling and your right a toally new person. it rocks !! and you might even get a tan.

Also the short dresses and great fashion every one dresses up so nice and groovy , but ofc not as good as you ;)

Hey mischa :),I think that its lovely when the flowers come blooming out in spring,it's really peacefull.But i think that the best thing about spring is when the sun starts coming out and just lay back chilling out with a nice cold glass of lemonade and some good tunes with a magazine or book :)Also, i just love to be able to get up in the mornings and have a quick jog round the block in some shorts for a change!!! lol ive had enough of the cold weather!!! ;p But out of all the seasons in the year i have always loved summer :D i think you are a great actress mischa and i will definately be looking forward to seeing your new film 'bhapal'... im sure it will be very sucessfull thanks for reading , and i hopefully i will meet you one day

The greatest things of spring are the smell, longing and activites, the smell is great it reminds you of the past and how you used to act and be, smell is something that can trigger human memory and the smell of spring lightens up a persons mood and enhances thier abilites of agitily and comprhension. All of that is great is becasue it's spring! Spring reminds everyone that the end of school is coming, parents are loosing thier reins before summer, and people are working out outside again! People are walking thier dogs just to get a fresh of fresh air, and that fresh air comes from spring! The second greatest thing about spring is my birthday! It's my special day that I have to share with no one I know! It's great! Plus this year for my beautiful spring birthday i'll be getting to go down to my grandma's who i haven't seen in 3 years on april vacation. Also spring is great becasue this spring reminds me that i only have one more spring to wait for my school trip to greece, spring is great, there are spring musicals, plays, concerts and sports! everything about spring is GREAT!

Well, I live in Brazil. And here, the nature is amazing! The spring comes, and with it also comes the flowers, the kids playing, the couples, the hot guys running, the small clothes... Look at the sun rising in the horizon everymorning, see the ocean and the birds, that really makes me so pacefull. And then, I look at everything and think: "Here comes the Summer!".

For me spring is something beautiful.
Winter was very long, I was in hospital for 2 months.
So I'm happy to have the opportunity to relax in the sun and in the garden. Talking to my best friend about god and the world while drinking a cocktail =) It's like a new attitude to life =)

I think I really look forward to the nice sun, the fresh scent of the flowers, and the smell of the trees. It is a reminder of how fortunate and likely I am to be living in this time and moment. It also gives me motivation to jog outside. What can I say? Spring and summer are so short especially where I am in Toronto, Canada. I do cherish the short spring/summer periods because its so short and goes by so fast its important to enjoy it while its there. Before you know it the leaves will change colour, and will fall swiftly to dust at the hands of the grey skies and winds of the fall. Yay, spring and summer 2009 is here.
