Hey everyone.  I just wanted to tell you all a little more about my time in Goa!

I slept every night outside in a hammock with quilts and pillows and would wake up at dawn.  The hammock was just outside my sisters Zoe's room on the lawn and you could see the ocean. It was heaven! I was in serious need of this sort of break!

I was also doing tons of standard yoga, more for spirituality and the mind -- I love Buddhism.  Here's a quote from the Dalai Lama to think about (if I was to get a tattoo it might be this one!)

"This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness."

I'll post more photos soon!

Well Mischa, I am glad that you're enjoying your time there, even the way you sleep, it is really great especially as you mentioned that you needed!

I think you're totally smart about doing some Yoga, You really need it after all the stress you always have in L.A ( Paparazzi everywhere, Gossips, wrong stories about you )

God bless you

Nora

Here is a shout out to someone who celebrates the search for balance of body and mind.

hello,Mischa,
i would like to see more photos about you.
i am your fans and always pay attention on everything that about you.Anyway, enjoy your life and i will support you.

Hi again, Mischa!

Am I dreaming? Another update already??? This really is update heaven for us!!!

So you were sleeping outside in the fresh air? That sounds really great - I've done that a time or two while camping, and there's nothing quite like it, is there? Of course, I've never been lucky enough to do it anywhere as beautiful as a place like that!

I'm so glad that you're getting the chance to relax and unwind while you're there, because you really do deserve some quality time like that, well away from all the paps and gossip blogs.

And that's a great quote too! I really can relate to that one, because that's pretty much how I think about things. I don't know about you, but I love collecting quotes and other comments that mean something to me and the way I live my life - not so much as a guide to how to do things, but more as a reminder that there's others out there who think the same way and that I'm not alone. One of my absolute favourites on the subject of religion is from Napoleon:

"Organised religion is the way the rich have of stopping the poor from killing them..."

Another of my absolute favourites is from Albert Einstein:

"Only two things are infinite - The universe and human stupidity - And I'm not sure about the universe..."

Anyway, thanks so much for yet another great update, and I'm really looking forward to the next one - which at this rate will probably be waiting for me as soon as I've finished writing this!!!! :)

All my love always,

Adrian.

I'm sorry, but I've never really liked the idea of getting a tattoo, as you are basically writing on your body what you already know! Apparently, Buddhists frown on tattoos, so it probably isn't what the Dalai Lama was expecting when he said it. He also says "Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness." This to me suggests that he feels that spiritually we need to open ourselves to kindness, and we need to respect our mind, body and soul. Personally, I don't think ink is the key to respecting our bodies.

I do completely agree with the Dalai Lama. As far as we know, we may just have one life, why not spend it being happy and making others happy too! If the majority of the world held this view, it would be a much nicer place to be. But just like Gandhi himself, it is important to lead by example - practice what you preach. So this is why I try my best to follow these ideals, because if you can't do it yourself, you cannot expect others to do it instead.

I eagerly await more photos!

I think this would be a lovely tattoo.
I have several tattoos, and I don't think it makes me any less of a person to have them. Be free; make your own decisions based on what YOU want, not what you think someone else wants you to do.

Here's to hoping you DO in fact get that tattoo, Mischa. :]

Cheers!

Hey Mischa,

Ah, wow! That really would be an amazing experience, the only time I ever camped, the tent fell down on us in the middle of a storm, on the third night we were there, we were packing up and had to leave.

Camping in England - Where the weather couldn't be more unpredictable! Joy. :-)

Glad you enjoyed it, it looks so peaceful, and you definitley both deserved and needed it.

Love reading your updates, keep em coming!

Take care,
Danielle.

If you want a chuckle, here's a little news story on the subject of religion that made me laugh today:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7818980.stm

"An atheist campaign claiming "There's probably no God" has been reported to the advertising regulator.

Posters with the slogan appear on 800 buses in England, Scotland and Wales, as well as on the London Underground.

But organisation Christian Voice has complained to the Advertising Standards Authority saying they break rules on substantiation and truthfulness.

The British Humanist Association, which backed the campaign, said it was not taking the complaint seriously.

The ASA's code states "marketers must hold documentary evidence to prove all claims". The regulator said it would assess the complaint and decide whether to contact the advertiser."

It would be interesting to hear what the Dalai Lama would have to say about that...

Mischa,

Thank you for showing the photos. I can see how you wanna share your experiments with many people. So you are moved!
And I've always thought the Buddhism would be good for you. I can't explain well why. I'm not saying Christianity and Islamism are not good for you. But I've thought you would sense your beautiful mind like water flow, if you met Buddhism.
It's wonderful to sleep outside. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I'd like to see the photo of the Dawn and the Ocean when you wake up and see. So we can see the first thing you see after you wake up. However, it may be troublesome, oh.....

Hi Mischa -

Just came across this post and I think it's great that you spent every night sleeping in a hammock! I actually own an outdoor gear company that makes hammocks and my motto is 'Life Is Better In A Hammock!', so I definitely know the feeling. The hammocks we make are not just any hammocks; they're compact, lightweight hammocks that you can take anywhere with you and enjoy the wonders of a hammock wherever you go. You'd be able to hang out in between scenes or in the middle of a long day and close your eyes and be back in Goa. :) It's a good cure for 'hammock withdrawal'.

Anyways, just thought I'd leave a comment and let you know about it. Feel free to contact me and I'd be happy to send you a hammock!

As far as I have heard, it is not enough only to have a strong desire to practise yoga. Special physical and mental preparation is needed. In one of ebooks I read recently ( http://www.ebook-search-queen.com/ebook/Easy/Easy+Steps+to+Yoga.all.html ) I learned that only having practised yoga for a certain period of time it is possible to get a bit closer to the inner and deeper understanding of this teaching. I wonder only how long this period should be...
