Martin is an incredible human, actor and my rock through our part of filming. His kindness overwhelmed me, as well as his professionalism and just how down to earth he is. Those are the kind of actors I respect; no matter how famous you get, you remind yourself you're doing what you love to do. Even when it's grueling and we are re-writing all the lines ourselves, it's fun with someone like him.
We share a bond with Richard Atttenborough and that's a very special link as the the man is a father figure and an actor's gift.
Martin even gave me his fancy trailer and took mine which was half the size and when I brought him a small gift the next day to say thank you he gave me a rosary. I agree you don't have to be into one religion, but it's a good luck charm, and I will not forget his kindness.

Great pictures! And if that's how you're really going to look when your're 45, then all I can say is WOW!!!!!! Then again, I think we all know you're always going to be beautiful, no matter what age you are...
And I totally agree with you about Martin Sheen - He's an amazing person, and has made some equally amazing movies. I think my favourite is probably 'Apocalypse Now' - Not only because it really is a total classic, but because of what Martin and everyone else went through while making it. (Especially Martin with his heart attack partway through filming!!) And when he sent it up with his guest appearance in 'Hot Shots! Part Deux'... But that aside, it is just such a powerful performance, and I think the one most people probably remember him for. And how kind of him to give you his trailer - That's proof that he's a true gentleman and a genuine person!
And I agree with you too about Richard Attenborough. (BTW, do you realise you spelled his name with three t's??? - Atttenborough... ;)). Again, he's an amazing person, who's been involved in some wonderful movie-making - both as an actor and behind the camera too. And what a career he's had too, starting as an uncredited bit-player in one of the absolute classic movies of all time, 'In Which We Serve', and going all the way to directing other classics such as 'Gandhi' and 'Cry Freedom'. And, like you, I love everything his brother does too - Nobody does nature programmes like David Attenborough and the BBC!!!
Thanks again for the pictures - I'm already looking forward to seeing this movie, and I know that, the way they do thinks in India when it comes to movie-making, we probably won't have all that long to wait!

It's not a case of me simply agreeing with everything Mischa says. It seems that Mischa and I have similar views on quite a number of subjects, which is one of the reasons why I think I like her so much - We seem to think the same way, and so I can relate to what she writes and understand what she means by her comments. For example, she hates to see suffering and injustice in the world, and so do I. She likes to live life as near as possible on her own terms, and not simply do as others do just to be "a part of the crowd", and so do I. She loves the '60s music and culture, and so do I. And I could go on much longer with other parallels I see in how Mischa and I seem to view the world, but I know you hate long posts.... I don't just agree with Mischa for the sake of agreeing, but because in her I see someone who could well be a "fellow traveller" in this crazy world of ours. And, for those of us who like to do things our own way, instead of being one of the "sheep", that's a rare thing indeed.
As for the speed of my replies to Mischa's posts, well, I'm not always so quick. It just so happens that, for the past few days, I've checked by here pretty soon after the update has been posted and so, quite naturally, I've been one of the first to reply. If the updates had been posted at other times of the day, then I wouldn't have been anywhere near as fast responding, and others would have beaten me to it by a long chalk.
And, FYI, I make no appologies for anything I write here. What I write here comes from the heart, and represents my true feelings about whatever topic I may be writing about at the time. So if I say that I think Mischa is the most beautiful woman ever, then I truly believe that. And if I say I think that the '60s were an amazing time and I'd loved to have experienced them first-hand, then I honestly believe that too... Unlike too many people these days, I'm not afraid to speak honestly and call things as I see them. At times when I do, I find people agreeing with me, while other times I may be villified for having the temerity to speak out. But speak out I will, for free speech is one of the rights we have now which were so hard-won by our parents and grand-parents back in the '60s and '70s, and we have a moral duty to preserve that right for our own children, and for their children after them!
(Sorry - a bit of a rant there, but I was on a roll and it just came out so easily!!!)

As for actually getting in touch with Mischa, I think you can forget about the e-mail address on the "contact" page. I tried using it, and so did Jo, who runs the Mischa fan forum I post on. All that happens is that, after about 24 hours, your e-mail bounces back with the message below:
"Unable to deliver message to the following recipients, due to being unable to connect successfully to the destination mail server."
We've both tried several times, and the same thing happens every time. So it's obvious that address doesn't work for some reason - And that's a shame, because if someone gives an e-mail address on their website, you expect it to work, don't you?
About the only thing I can suggest is that you try contacting her via her agents (http://www.paradigmagency.com/) and trying to get in touch with Jim Osbourne or Matt Eskander - But don't get your hopes up too high, as I'm sure they get loads of messages every day.
But, who knows - Maybe Mischa will see your posts here, remember you from when you met her, and send you an e-mail herself... (*fingers crossed*)

Looks like that you prefer simple guys: make you funny and understand you. Don't give a show for anything, just see you as you're.

We've no idea if Mischa actually is in Paris - That's where Teja said she was, but we don't know for sure. However, if she was in the US, I'm sure we'd probably have seen some candid pictures of her somewhere by now - you know how the paps there love to chase her... When she's in the UK, we don't get as many candids, but we still get the occasional one. But, when she's in Paris, we don't get any at all. So the lack of recent candids would suggest that maybe she is in Paris, but we don't know for sure - She could be in London for all we know, or back in the US and doing a good job of dodging the paps.
As for her religion, I don't think she's ever really "nailed her colours to the mast" on that one and said she's one religion or another. About the only time I can think of where she's really said anything was going on for a year or so ago now(???), when she was involved in the birth control campaign. When she was interviewed about that by an Irish magazine, she said something about how she'd been brought up as a "nominal Catholic" - Plus there's the post-DUI candids of her coming out of (IIRC) a Catholic church. (Sorry to bring up those three letters again, Mischa, but I needed to put the pictures into date context...) But, more recently, she's made comments here about not following any particular religion, such as above, where she says "I agree you don't have to be into one religion, but it's a good luck charm, and I will not forget his kindness." So I think that, on the subject of religion, I'd say that you'd probably have to say that she probably does believe in the existence of God, but doesn't follow any particular organised religion.
Of course, I could be completely wrong about all the above, but that's how I interpret the available information...
And like you, I've got a routine as well - I always check here around lunchtime, and then just quickly stop by two or three more times during the day whenever I have a few moments free.

I have been reading several of these posts and I agree with Ali. Alot of this is stalker stuff. Adrian, you write to Mischa as if you have actual hopes that she is reading what you write and going to respond. Mischa has this website to honor her fans, but more importantly, she has this website to honor her publicist and the publicity machine she must keep going in order to generate business if she wishes to continue to act. It is an extremely simple concept, and one I am by no means criticizing. I do think; however, it's important to recoginize that you won't be meeting Mischa, talking to Mischa, or recieving an e-mail from Mischa. I don't think you need to get a life, but I do think a little bit of logical reasoning is in order.
I will be honest. I originally came to this site because one of my very close friends write a very popular blog and one of his subjects of much ridicule is Mischa. He writes posts about her and he recently discovered this site. He claims that Mischa has exactly 4 fans left (clearly this isn't true). He and other bloggers (yes, we are American) are not fans of Mischa. Supposedly (allegedly) she has done and said things in the US that has made her extremely unpopular with the press. The US press is extremely fickle and hypocritical. When a celebrity screws up and doesn't get much A-list acting work, they are usually not forgiven. So the press has put her in a category of has-been. It has been interesting for me to come here and see that Mischa does have loyal fans. I do think it would do Mischa more justice though, if her true fans would act a little less crazy.

I'm just curious as to what got Mischa Barton blacklisted by the American celebrity blogger set? I mean yeah, she dated all those douches like Brendan Davis and that ugly musician. She does sometimes dress like a reject from a community theater production of "Hair". She got fat legs for a little while. And yeah, her sister went to rehab and she's obviously a self-centered bakehead on a level with Anna Faris' character in "Happy Face"(Maybe Mischa should do the sequel). But other than that what did she do to get completely written off as a has been?
I mean Lindsay Lohan skated past a 2nd DUI, a felony carjacking and a felony drug possession charge by dipping out to rehab at some spa and even though no studio will hire her because they can't insure her the bloggers, the paps and the press still can't get enough of her. Seriously, I don't see where Mischa Barton is much worse. At least she's still working, albeit in low budget films. But that could change with one breakthrough role in a film or if one director is willing to take a chance on her(same goes for Lohan). 2-4 years from now Mischa Barton could be oscar nominated and back on the A-List. And you think I'm some sort of stalker, do you??? Well, unlike many of the others here, I've not made any really "gushing" posts along the lines of "OMG, Mischa - I'm you're greatest fan ever. Here's my e-mail address, please send me a message - Oh, and why not come and stay with me for a while too??..." Try actually reading my posts, and putting them into context with Mischa's posts and videos, and I'm sure that any rational person would see a reasoned and respectful reply to whatever subject Mischa was addressing in her post. And as for the subject of e-mails, have you actually read what I've said about them, you'll see that I've said that, while it would be great if we did have that kind of access, it's highly unlikely to happen because Mischa would be so overwhelmed by the number of messages, the system would just grind to a halt - And that's something I understand and accept. And that's hardly "stalkerish" behaviour, is it?
As for all the comments like "why are you doing this? Mischa doesn't know about you or care about you, and you'll never hear from or meet her", well... I post here to show my support for Mischa, and to show her that, despite what some of the blogs may be saying, she DOES have fans who love her. I also post here to let her know that there are other people around who think and feel the same way as she does about things, and that she's not alone in her views.

Some time in 2004, I arrived in my house in Cascais, a beautiful town 20 kms from Lisbon, switched on the TV and to my surprise, I was seeing New Port, in California, a place I had visited several times in the past, on business, and which I very much enjoyed walking around, in a “dolce fare niente”. Having the basic conditions to be a happy person: Is healthy, wealthy, talented and beautiful, Mischa Barton is not happy, because if she was, she would not take drugs, she would not abuse alcohol and she would have respect for her body, as apparently, and according to her recent statements, she is planning to have to our world, which so badly has been treated by the powers who dominate the Universe.
Mischa Barton deserves to be happy. I believe I could help her and I am willing to do so. The difficulty is coming from her side. She will be suspicious, why would she trust some body that she never saw, a person about 50 years older than her, from a different country, completely different culture, etc., etc., etc.,. From what I understand...and as I mentioned before it's information that I get from a good friend who is in fact a blogger, Mischa has rejected roles and had "diva" like behavior and other issues that have been mentioned on this site (wrong crowd). Needles to say, she burns bridges. Someday Mischa could be big in the US again. Like you said, you never know. Adrian-I see your point. Kudos to you.
