Well Mischa, to be honest..I am not into fashion, I believe that wearing whatever makes you feel free and comfortable is the most important, ofcourse in propriate way!
By the way... I love your style...it is great on you...and please don't listen to the bad things people saying.. believe me when someone tells you you're not stylish or something really bad.. Just know that he is a big big jealous!!
if I have to say who inspire me it's you!you have beautiful blonde hair and u're an elegant tall person..so u can wear what u want!I do like the fact we have the same style..I mean,we both prefer casual and rock things but u like also to dress elegant when u feel too..and that's what I think too..the dress doesn't make the person!
p.s.in these days I love the wardrobe of blair of gossip girl!
xoxo
i dont care what ppl say. i love ur sense of style!
my body type is not as skinny as you. but i love wearing skinny jeans and a halter top with sandals and something in my hair. that would be my everyday thing lol. it makes you who u are
my f.v's are mix of you, the olsen twins, audrina from the hills, sienna miller... :)
and sometimes even Kim K :)
Well, as a guy, I think my views on fashion are probably quite a bit different to your's!!!
I do think you've got an amazing sense of style, and always look so gorgeous in just about everything. (I've got to admit there's been just one or two of your outfits where I have thought "Hmmmmm, OK....." - But the fact that it's you inside the outfit has more than compensated for any doubts I've had about the outfit itself!...) But, most of the time, you just look so amazingly beautiful. And I love how you're not afraid to "do your own thing" when it comes to fashion. What I really hate to see is people simply following the current fashions like a bunch of mindless sheep, just because some overpaid magazine columnist has told them that it's the "in thing" to wear... And that's why I love you so much, because you do think for yourself and are prepared to take the risks and accept the criticisms when others don't personally like what you wear.
And that's kind of how I am too. I don't own a single piece of "designer" clothing, and have never followed whatever the then-current fashion is. When I was 16, I was the only one at school wearing flares - not to set a trend or anything like that, but because I couldn't stand the skin-tight jeans everyone else wore. (And yes, I suffered for it - You won't believe how many times I got pushed through a hedge or stuff like that, and all because I was "different" and refused to look like everyone else!!....) Even now, I'm always getting laughed at by bunches of young kids, who are all wandering around dressed exactly the same as each other and think that I'M the stupid one - But you know what? I don't care because, to me, they're the stupid ones, because they've not shown the ability to think for themselves when it comes to what clothes to wear, and rely instead on what others tell them is "in" or "out".
For me, as long as I feel comfortable, and think that I look OK, then it's a good outfit. I've always been something of a 'jeans & t-shirt' kind of person, and have a huge collection of classic band t-shirts (Deep Purple, Motorhead, and that sort of thing), plus a load of others too - including some really disgustingly loud tie-dye ones..... *blush* But I do wear other stuff too, and "scrub up" quite well when the need arises!!!!
I guess if you had to describe my style, it'd probably be 'classic rocker' with a hint of hippie. My influences? Well, there's nobody where I've deliberately thought, "I like their look, so I'll try and copy it", but there's probably been a lot of subconscious influences from various people along the way. And my attitide to fashion is quite simple:
"Do you're own thing and be happy about yourself - As long as you personally think you look OK, then what does it matter what everyone else thinks? Your own happiness and comfort should always come before the opinions of others, most of whom don't even know you and are simply making judgements about the whole person based solely on outer appearance."
Ofcourse as I see, she didn't mention India, she said africa!! It is an old video and now they decide to post it!! haha and ofcourse the same stupid people here keep answering her post like she is really reading their posts!! that's really funny and unbelievalbe...
i really like your personal style, i think its kind of bohemian, girly, kind of look. i also like the fashion you sported while being marissa cooper on the oc, her fashion accessories and colors put together were very cute! all in all, you're fashion inspires me
OK, "Guest again and again", here's a theory for you...
Yes, all the video clips WERE shot at the same time a little while ago. They were then edited, possibly by Mischa herself, into the individual clips being posted here. After that, they were uploaded onto Mischa's own laptop (which she does have), and she's uploading them from there as she's adding each new post.
And if you look at the times on the posts and comments, they appear to be PST, about 8 hours behind GMT. (My first comment here is timed at 9am, while it was 5pm here in the UK when I posted it). If Mischa is in India right now (which we know she is...), the she's about 5 hours ahead of GMT, or about 13 hours ahead of PST. So if she posts a message here at, for example 6pm Indian time, the the time on the message would be something like 5am, wouldn't it. Now, if these messages are being posted by someone from her management, based in LA, it's highly unlikely they've be posting stuff at 5am their time, isn't it????
So, you may have your doubts, but I think the times on the posts from Mischa help confirm that it really IS her writing them....
I'm sure she does know all about it. Despite what some people here seem to think, she does know how to use a computer and the internet. She also has a laptop, and takes it everywhere with her when she travels.
And, as I've already pointed out, the posting times of her updates should prove that it really is Mischa posting them, and not someone from her management sat there in LA pretending to be her. Of course, if you want to believe that it isn't her posting here, then that's your right - Just as it's our right to believe that it is her....
why don`t you just check for example her interview on youtube where she confirms that she doesn`t use internet and that`s really not her thing..
as such a big fan you should have in fact seen every single interview, don`t you?
all "mischa barton" entries look very cold and empty and too official. she is very funny girl, and this web-page is not in her style.
it should be named "fan-site", but not "official"! noway!
It's so cool Mischa has her own site, so we can find out more things about her and find out what is true and what isn't, but I don't think the time of the posts proves she does the updates herself because if you look at Audrina's, Whitney's and Khloe's sites as well as Mischa's, they were all updated early on Thursday morning between 4.59am and 6.59am. And the others are all in LA right now AFAIK. I am sure Mischa checks the site when she's got the time though.
OK, well, I wouldn't say I was as big a fan as you seem to think I am, as there's a lot I don't know about Mischa. So I'd say I'm not a huge expert on Mischa, just a guy who thinks she's THE most beautiful and amazing woman in the world. However, I do know plenty of people who do know that kind of detail about her, and they've come up with a few points.
First of all, the interview you're talking about is from June 2007, so it's now 18 months old. Don't you think that, even if she didn't know how to use the internet then, she's had plenty of time to learn since then???
Secondly, if you look at the pictures of her at airports where she's got all of her bags with her, there's a laptop bag there in all of them. Now, why would she be carrying a laptop bag around with her if she didn't have a laptop? finally, according to the 'experts' on her, she bought a Macbook Pro in 2006 - before the interview you're talking about. Again, if she doesn't know how to use a computer, why buy something like that?
And as for the comment by "lipo" about the posts seeming "cold", well, if she's just posting quickly as and when she has time, then she's probably too tired to write too much - and if she's not yet used to blogging, then she's probably not yet comfortable about going into too much detail (or being careful about not giving too much personal stuff away).
(And jekko - the answers to your questions are January 24th, about 5ft 8in, and no, I don't think she does...)
Mischa, I hope you're having a good time there in India - We're all missing you like crazy, and hoping for news from you soon! (And please ignore all these doubts...)
You are so cool Mischa!!!! I believe I have a rather unique sense of style, but for so long I have neglected it by purchasing really simple and mainstream clothing. I am not saying that style is bad, it can be amazing, but it is not my style. I made it my safe place where I felt I would not be judged or talked about. Over the years my style has evolved and I am deciding not to neglect what I feel is right for me. I am going to go for it. Your security with your style is an inspiration to people like me who fear standing out in a crowd. That is such a cliche but it is totally true. Thanks
Hi Mischa,
did you see the film "Eight Miles High"? It is a movie about the life of Uschi Obermaier, who was kind of an style icon in Germany in the seventies. Your clothes reminded me of her, and the fact that she travelled around the world by bus. I hope that English dubbing is good, but even if you see it in German you'll get the story. If only half of it is true, she had a pretty interesting life back then. Anyway, if you stumble across the DVD you should give it chance.
Regards,
George
"Thank's Adrian:)
and i forgot to ask - does she has some sports?"
No problem at all! And as for sports, I can't recall any pictures of Mischa doing sports, or her talking about them in any interviews - But, then again, I don't have an encyclopedic knowledge of everything to do with her...
Well, about the style issue..I liked you in Marissa Cooper role more than your real personaliity, I mean, your style was owesome, but now!! execuse me...but no,,i am not into these Hippees things you're doing!! Even your hair..was much attractive and much sexy in Marissas...I mean the color and the haircut...
I have a question for you * If you were really reading * Are you lesbian ? how come most of your roles are something about sex and lesbo stuff?
1- Katie Singer......Lesbian
2- You and I movie......lesbian
3- lost and delirous....lesbian friendly
4- Marissa Cooper......Lesbian for a while
I just saw a photo on another site of Mischa out in London last weekend with Tom Wright and I really like the outfit she was wearing with the gold coat.
I saw them at the Fashion Spot. There are 4 pics of Mischa in the gold outfit and the tall guy dressed in black walking in front of her in one of the pics is Tom Wright. If you do a Google image search you can find other pics of him from when he was dating Jude Law's ex-wife.
As I pointed out on my forum, that story comes from the gossip pages of The Mirror, which isn't exactly the most reliable source around - They've been caught out in the past for printing stories which have later turned out to be way wide of the mark. According to what I found via Google, the party where they say their "spies" saw Mischa took place in London several days AFTER she'd posted here that she was flying out to India "tomorrow" - So how could Mischa be at a party in north London about three or four days AFTER she flew out to India???? (Mischa's post here about flying out to India "tomorrow" was on December 6th, just aftr midnight UK time, and the party was on December 10th...)
There's a lot of other things about that report which just don't seem to add up, and I'm more than a bit suspicious about it at the moment......
(And the story comes just days after The Mirror's most bitter rival, The Sun, posted the Mischa/Tom Wright story, which is another thing which makes me more than a bit suspicious...)
Hi Mischa!
I LOVE your style like most of the people, most of your outfits are amazingly beautiful. Also, what I like a lot of you is that you wear whatever you want and what makes you feel comfortable, no matter what other people think.
Personally, I just try conbining colours and if i like it, I keep it.
Take care of yourself and have a nice time at India.
P.D: Adrian you shutted up those annoying guests with that answer before, thanks.
Then again, Adrian's got a great record of taking on the Mischa-bashers. He's one of those who posts on my forum, and takes on the bashers wherever he finds them. He really is a fantastic guy - really sweet, funny and sooooo intelligent. And I've never met anyone who cares so deeply about Mischa as he does. He's a proper English gentleman, and absolutely hates to see anyone question her motives or insult her honour. I'm really proud to have him on my forum, and hope he gets the chance to meet Mischa sometime, because he really deserves to.....
I love your style...actually even the styles your character have worn...
None really ever seemed to work on me...
I tried the marissa cooper... and your current fashion style but none are apparently meant for me..
I really truly am inspired by your acting and i love all your roles...
I think you are so cool, unique, and a GREAT taste in music!
Truly loved you in the o.c. and then after i saw you definetly showing the acting world what you had in movies...course i'm still a loser who can quote the entire first scene where ryan and marissa met
but i definetly love you in your other works
ok so babbling but this is such a great sight and i think its so cool how you're doing this!!
I love your style and you're beautiful... My personal style is similar at the Marissa Cooper style but I'm inspired also at the Sixties... What do you think about Sixties style???
I love your style... its so different and I love how you take things from everywhere you go like you said. I never pay attention to the style parts of magazines because I do enjoy the idea of one person deciding if what someone else wears is fashionable... I mean if you and that person have different styles you will always be on the worst dressed list and i think that is dumb. I loved your fashion when you were on the OC... I read you had a say in what you wore on the show and your outfits were really cute. I couldnt watch the show once they killed you off... its not that I didnt try but you carried that show... but whatever you do better things now... cant wait to see what you are in next.
Hey Guesto,
So what if she had some lesbian characters ?
She is an actress.. and yes she takes serval roles but you can't denid that most of them were so touching and intense, especially her role in
( once and again )... It was the most incredible acting I have ever seen in my life.
Tell me this :
Julianne Moore
Meryl Streep
Charlize Theron
Sharone Stone
Evan Rachel Wood
are all those, lesbians, because they had done before a lesbian roles ?
i don't know how to describe my style. i guess i wear whatever i feel like at the moment. it's very diffrent from day to day. and i like almost every style there is. from EMO to gossip girl fashion. i love it all :) and your personal style is awsome!
mischa.. your style is awesome i completely look up to it.
i love your vintage look it suits you heaps! you can never go wrong with the vintage look, everyone likes it and people that say they don't just do not have the confidence to wear it
:)
about guesto's comment that he asked the question
are you a lesbian? and he pointed out all her lebians roles... i dont think she is a lesbian becuase shes dated men but im not making assumtions but she might be bisexual..think about
it after always playing lesbians roles going into that character there has to be a reason maybe because she likes to play tht role to be that character and she even said herself in an interview about kissing olivia wilde when she said''its just a kiss its easy because shes A GIRL,and a freind of mine so its not a problem''
like its fine if shes bi or bi-curious that would
be really great but this is just my opinion....
MISCHA IF YOU READ THIS!! just think about what i
said why do you play all these lesbian roles is
it because ur atracted to women and if u are bi
then that is perfectly fine look around you in
hollywood its fine now people accept it so many ppeople are coming out as bi's look at lindsay lohan, tila tequila, lady gaga, megan fox, even olivia wilde said were all bisexual in some way.. like you said in the show once and again..WHATS SO GREAT ABOUT HIDING WHO YOU ARE!
Hi Mischa!
We are you're number 1 fans

I Mischa!!!
Well im from Argentina, and you are the person who i admired so much! You're so beautiful , independent..
I cant stop seeing The Oc, i think that that was your best acting.. i see it all the time, i think that "Tijuana" was the best episode... When you came to Argentina?
Please!!! I want to know youu
You mentioned Marianne Faithful as a fashion icon, and I can see a lot of elements of her style in yours. But I like the way you use her look as an inspiration and yet you manage to combinate it with your own personal style. I think you are very lucky to have the chance to travel as much as you do, so you can pick up ideas all over the world! You always look comfortable in what you wear. I also want to give you credit for being your self! You don't seem to always pick outfits that are "safe". It looks like you have fun with mixing and matching, not worrying too much about what others think.
Hi, Mischa!!
My name is Kerli and I'm from Estonia. It's in europe, it's very lovely and small country. I hope you visit Estonia sometimes.
Your personal style is awesome, I love it!!
I think that I haven't style, I just wear these clothes whats make me beautiful and put me feel comfotable and something like that. And one thing more: I respect all what you do. If someone tell you that you haven't style, don't believe them. You have it!!!
Good luck;D
I think you make it great, with your own personal style:)
I believe everyone should wear what feels just right.I also think, that it's important to dress how you are and not trying to being someone else.I always do that, even when i get negative statements or even bad names, because of my style.I travel a lot since I'm a little child,so i totally understand, what you mean, when you're talking about people from other countries who inspire you.I really agree
And i think you style is just great and tells much about you.
I think everybody makes there own fashion, i am a model for about 3 years now and i see so many people with different styles (sorry for the spelling hihi) and most people look good if they feel good. It doesnt matter what they wear okay it does matter some people just dont know how to dress but most of the times i think ist inportant to feel good inside then it will show on the outside. sometimes i go out in my boyfriend tshirts just because i feel good in them and i think it looks nice. these days you can wear everything and make them fashionable.
still you look very good, and keep up the moddeling you have a verry special face!
i totally agree u should just where wat reflects u wat u feel comfortable in just like urslef my style is a lil of everything i wear quite a bit of black but i like do dress it up wit accesories such as jewlery or shoes my fav!!! ur arre difiantly one of my style icons u can honestly pull of anything lucky girl lol :P thank you for being so open wit us and sharin ur feeling i love u bellea xo forev ur fan megan
First one to comment...YESSSSS !

Adrian.
Woww Adrian! that's was Great!
I think that this " Guest " wouldn't dare write again here after your logical great answer..
Thank you
Nora
Thanks!
I just thought a little logic applied to the situation may help clear things up...
(Of course, it would be great if Mischa could actually confirm it for us - then there'd be no possibility for doubt!!!)
Adrian.
i love your headband!!!
Mischa will not confirm! May be because she don't know about it and about this web-situation...
I'm sure she does know all about it. Despite what some people here seem to think, she does know how to use a computer and the internet. She also has a laptop, and takes it everywhere with her when she travels.

Pinu, do you have link to the pic of Mischa and Tom?
I saw them at the Fashion Spot. There are 4 pics of Mischa in the gold outfit and the tall guy dressed in black walking in front of her in one of the pics is Tom Wright. If you do a Google image search you can find other pics of him from when he was dating Jude Law's ex-wife.
http://www.mischanews.com/2008/12/14/rumor-is-mischa-barton-dating-the-kooks-lead-singer-luke-pritchard/ is that true :O
Does her parents well-known and public persons or not? I don't know anything(
As I pointed out on my forum, that story comes from the gossip pages of The Mirror, which isn't exactly the most reliable source around - They've been caught out in the past for printing stories which have later turned out to be way wide of the mark.
Mischa, we need answers!!!!

ok guys this is really weird but go to this link right above..it surprised me wow mischa..wow.
What a nice name you've chosen - so subtle and refined!!!
Well, that and the "Hello, Just Jared" video in the "Related videos" section there should prove that this site really is genuine!!!
Yeah, great job, Adrian!!!! *thumbs up*
Then again, Adrian's got a great record of taking on the Mischa-bashers.
So, Grow up!
Nora
I like wearing what i like. Just like athletic wear and abercrombie-like stuff
i don't know how to describe my style. i guess i wear whatever i feel like at the moment. it's very diffrent from day to day. and i like almost every style there is. from EMO to gossip girl fashion. i love it all :) and your personal style is awsome!
mischa.. your style is awesome i completely look up to it.
i love your vintage look it suits you heaps! you can never go wrong with the vintage look, everyone likes it and people that say they don't just do not have the confidence to wear it
:)
about guesto's comment that he asked the question
are you a lesbian? and he pointed out all her lebians roles... i dont think she is a lesbian becuase shes dated men but im not making assumtions but she might be bisexual..think about
it after always playing lesbians roles going into that character there has to be a reason maybe because she likes to play tht role to be that character and she even said herself in an interview about kissing olivia wilde when she said''its just a kiss its easy because shes A GIRL,and a freind of mine so its not a problem''
like its fine if shes bi or bi-curious that would
be really great but this is just my opinion....
MISCHA IF YOU READ THIS!! just think about what i
said why do you play all these lesbian roles is
it because ur atracted to women and if u are bi
then that is perfectly fine look around you in
hollywood its fine now people accept it so many ppeople are coming out as bi's look at lindsay lohan, tila tequila, lady gaga, megan fox, even olivia wilde said were all bisexual in some way.. like you said in the show once and again..WHATS SO GREAT ABOUT HIDING WHO YOU ARE!
enough said..
xox mischa just think about it

Hi Mischa!
Happy new year!
Best wishes from a fan in Norway

It doesnt matter what they wear okay it does matter some people just dont know how to dress but most of the times i think ist inportant to feel good inside then it will show on the outside. sometimes i go out in my boyfriend tshirts just because i feel good in them and i think it looks nice. these days you can wear everything and make them fashionable.
still you look very good, and keep up the moddeling you have a verry special face!
x
