Like you, I was born in England, but now live in the US and have US citizenship, and my family doesn't really celebrate Thanksgiving as such either...
We do use the holiday as a way to try and get the whole family together (my sister lives in New York now, while we're in California), and we do have a special meal, but it's not Thanksgiving as it is for all our friends and neighbours. And I've missed out on all that for the past four years, as I'm back in the UK now, studying at university. So I've not really got anything special planned, and it'll just be another ordinary day for me.
Ooh you are so cute !!!Unfortunately I can't help you because I'm in the same situation . I'm Bulgarian and we actually don't have a day like Thanksgiving but I really think that we should .Hope you'l enjoy the holiday and I'l wait to hear how you spent it . And I'l continue to beg my parents just like you. :)
I live in the Uk but my best friends mum is american so we celebrate it as they are like my family, we also invite my mum over and all of our friends which is awesome. We do the turkey and have pumpkin pie , the thanksgiving box about things we are grateful for, games etc. I love it - it is definitely one of the best holidays even though it is not a custom over here - which it should !
I hope you have a great thanks giving :) look forward to hearing about it

I'm ridiculously excited for Thanksgiving this year too - I just moved to Los Angeles from NYC, and my family is up in Oregon... so for years I haven't gone back home for Thanksgiving because it was just too far for a weekend trip. But now that I'm back on the west coast I get to finally spend it with my family.
We don't have any traditions really, all I care about is getting some of my mom's stuffing... its so good I used to eat for all my following meals until it ran out hahaha.
I just watched the OC season 1 Thanksgiving episode to start getting myself excited... Marissa goes to Chino, Seth gets tangled with Summer and Anna... Kirsten burns the turkey! Ahh memories!
Hi Mischa! Actually i'm from Sweden, and here we don't celebrate thanksgiving, it's such a same, because i really think that it is a great holiday. Anyway, have the best Thanksgiving! /Sweden
Hello Mischa, I'm a big fan of you and your acting. Thanksgiving is very tempting for me..As for any other holiday just about. Why is that? Well here's the truth, I'm struggling with eating disorder. I have anorexia nervosa and it's living hell..
I avoid sitting down with everyone else for the family meal.
Instead I help my aunt cook and I usually do the simple things (stir mashed potatoes, make dessert (oh how i love the smell of hot delicious apple pie!) and she does the turkey. Oh yeah, I also play video games with my cousins and then I read a book on the sofa.
So maybe one day I will feel happy with my body and let go of my fears of gaining weight.
Although I'm 16 and weigh 70 lbs. Thats right, this is what ED's do to yourself. its crazy, i know, but people that is a victim to this illness, we're never satisfied.
I'm losing my life to this disease and its killing me but at the same time, I feel like I can't do anything about it...but hopefully that will change!
I want to be free from my evil anorexic thoughts and want to be that healthy care-free person again! most of all...I just want to love myself!~
Have a great thanksgiving and enjoy it as much as possible! & as for me, well I will do the same!
Hi Mischa, I'm from Argentina and we don't celebrate it here, but i'm looking foward to it this year because i convinced my parents to prepare a delicius turkey to celebrate it.
I hope you have the best thanksgiving ever.
Take care.
Hmm, Im English so I don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but I cant wait for crimbo! Im 17, and my tradition is...Ok well I still leave carrots and milk and biscuits for santa! During the night my mum comes down and eats them...I love it:)
Hey,
it's Roksana once again.
Thank you for your updates, and letting us know what is going on in your life :)
I am from Poland, so I also don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but in our country we've got a lot occasions to celebrate xD I am glad that you enjoy thanksgiving, even if you were born in London.
That means so good of you!
Thank you for sharing with us everything, what is important to you.
God bless you,
Roksana.
P.S: Can't wait for your collection, and I hope that there is a little chance, that your collection could appear in Poland :)
Hey Mischa. Wow this is weird. I have had a crush on you since "A Ring of Endless Light". I am half Italian so my mom would always make turkey, but this year we had thanksgiving at my nonnas so there was no turkey, which sucked. This is so cool lol.
Oh, I was wondering if you have any info on any of your upcoming movies? Espescially 'Assination of a High School President' cause I have been waiting to see that movie for what seems like forever.
Thanks for doing all of these videos - I'm really loving watching them! (I love hearing you talk, because I think you've got such a gorgeous voice!!!)
Well, like some of the others here, I don't celebrate Thanksgiving - Being English and in the UK, it's something of a non-event for me!! But I do have quite a few American friends, and I know it means something to them, so I always send them e-mails to wish them a happy Thanksgiving. And, a couple of years ago, some of them were here in the UK this time of year, and they invited me to a Thanksgiving meal they'd organised in a restaurant. So I've kind of experienced it thanks to them.
In a way, it's a shame we don't have something similar here in the UK - Especially in England. I know the Scottish, Welsh and Irish all have their special days, but us poor English have sort of got left out of it all. Sure, we've got St. George's Day, but how many people even know when it is, much less celebrate it in any way???
Anyway, I hope you have a great time on Thursday, and we look forward to hearing all about it sometime...
hi Mischa,
Hope you have a fantastic Thanksgiving with your family and loved ones.
We dont celebrate it here in Australia but i think we should - spending time with family and loved ones and sharing good food and friendship is very important.
I must do some research and start a new tradition in our family next year!!
big hugs and take care

Good evening, Mischa!
I didn't know where to write this, so I just wrote it here in this post's comments area.
I'm a norwegian 19 year old girl who just started my education at the university, but it's so much to do and study all the time. I figured that you sometimes (or often?) feel the same way about your time and work, even though you like it - I guess it's a part of this modern way of living. Anyway, what I wanted to ask you, is what do you do when you really want to relax? Do you have any thing that really calms you down? I hope you can make a post about that, and I also believe that many people feel this way. I often light candles that smells good and make my self a big cup of warm tea sitting down on the couch with a great film, a nice book or a magazine. I also love to play the piano - it makes me feel like beeing in another world (even though I feel blessed beeing born and living in Norway). Any other tips? Or do you do the same thing?
I would also loved it if you made a post about your favourite places to visit in England and the UK. Have you ever been in Norway?
Just one more thing: Would be great if people caould send in some questins for an hour or so, and then you answeared them in a videopost.
However, I love your blog!
Greetings from Norway
(Btw: I really think that you should visit Norway)
